In my past I have petitioned for someone using the K-1. It was withdrawn. I have married and filed the I-130 and am wondering what might happen at the USCIS or NVC level? Could this hurt our chance of gaining the visa? Thanks :help:

No, a visa was not issued, the case was canceled.

Also since you did file an I-130, please update your profile with what you filed for, and well as doing a timeline, it helps people answer your questions more accurately, thank you.

Do you think it would be smart to get something in writing that it was canceled? And where can I get that evidence? Or do you think that it is even necessary?

We sent a letter to the CSC where we'd filed for a K-1, requesting it be cancelled. Never received any confirmation of that, just a letter that the petition had been cancelled as we hadn't returned the IMBRA forms. Since then, we've filed for a CR1 and have recently been approved by the NVC, with no RFE's etc. We just included a statement on the I-130 that we'd previously filed for a K-1 but had cancelled it as we got married in England. We included a copy of the cancellation letter which we sent to the CSC when we posted our I-130 package.

Hope that this helps!
