People aren't necessarily scaring you, they're being upfront. VJers tend to offer facts without sugarcoating them. Once approved for a visa, AP could last days, months, or years for background checks and vetting.

I understand that But my visa status went to administrative processing then change to ready status then administrative processing then ready status and now it's stuck in ready status  and it's update on 8 March can you tell me it can be possibly lengthy if it's changed to ap two time and change to ready two time ?

Oh my gosh, so they have had your passport for 6 months and you've heard nothing?  Yes call them!! For one thing, what if you need your passport for other travel, surely they can't think its ok to hold it for that long.  Definitely give them a call now.

That's ridiculous to make u wait without ur passport that long! I am so sorry for this.  They took my Fiancé passport also..it's going on 2 months and I miss him so much! It's not fair to make ppl wait so long! We want to see each other again while he is in AP status but I'm afraid if we take passport from Embassy they will just forget about us😢

Yes if your fiance is from pakistan then you don't know that can be quite lengthy or no one knows you will get your visa at any time that's why me and my wife didn't take risk to apply for fiance visa we get married in srilanka and then after one year later we apply for I130 which take whole one year and after that I had my interview but that was nightmare and it's going to be 6 months on this 28 April 2017 how was your fiance interview went and what's the status saying administrative processing or ready for interview his case updating or not? I hope we get the visa now I already provide them everything what they request for now waiting for their decision

My Fiancé is from Afghanistan.  His interview was February 2017. They then handed him a (221g) for medical documents and AP! A couple days later the consular officer emailed me to ask for a phone interview regarding my Fiancé.  After we spoke she told I would hear from Embassy 2-3 weeks. It's been over 6 weeks and I emailed embassy and told me it's in AP and we must wait. I hate this! I miss my Fiancé so much! I hope u get ur visa soon. U have been waiting so long!
