I love junior gong and the Morgan Heritage show was the best concert I have ever been to!

I really like the Soca music here in the Eastern Caribbean. It's like Calypso (not the Harry Belafonte kind) with a souped up dance beat. It is really big around Carnival time, there are HUGE national competitions for Soca Monarch. There are some great artists from Trinidad & Tobago like Destra and Marshall Montano. Then there is Alison Hinds from Barbados. But I can't forget the reigning Monarch from Grenada...Mr. Killer!!!!!

Of course the Reggae is unbeatable and we have to give props to Jamaica for all those incredibly talented artists.

:ot: Sue,

I had a dream about your avatar last night, for real. I dreamed you changed the one you have now into one in which you and your SO appeared to be like, 80 years old. I don't know what this means, but maybe it can be interpreted as you and your SO will live to be a ripe old age, still be together and be posting on VJ. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

That is Funny!

So did we age well?

I hope your interpretation is right and we are still kicking after all that time...but gosh! I hope we aren't still waiting for his green card by then!

Thanks for the laugh

Sue,

About all I remember is you both had grey hair and wrinkles. No, LOL, I am certain you were not waiting for the GC. Hey, I do not know why of all the folks on here I dreamed about YOUR avatar. Seriously, it was a strange dream. If I have another dream about you guys, I sure will post it !

It is kinda funny, maybe we are cosmically linked or something. Or maybe I was out prowling into other peoples dreams....That would be something!

There are so many Aussie bands I love...

* Something for Kate

* Even

* Ben Lee

* Killing Heidi

* You Am I

* Dirty Three

I am currently LOVING the JJJ top 100 CD. It's so good!!! I don't know all the artists yet - and some are not Aussie - but it's a great CD.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

My wife likes Russian pop music that sounds like the pop music here, only it's in Russian. Think Brittany Spears or Christina Aguilera, a little bit of some Justin Timberlake, then remix that with

My wife certainly likes Russian pop music too. I'll give names in Cyrillic and English to make them easier to search for.

Александр Маршал (Alexander Marshal) is very popular. (Also look for the band Gorky Park, with such hits as Bang and Moscow Calling)

Алена Свиридова (Alena Sviridova) is similar to Christina Aguilera/Brittany Spears. I like "Мое Сердце," a Russian vesrsion of "My Heart Belongs to Daddy"

Звери (Zveri) is one I like.

is here on youtube.

Russian music is cheap from Allofmp3.ru, but I'm not sure how legal it is.

Наше radio is on the internet and good.
