Hi All,

I was recommended for citizenship approval.

my Situation - Got GC with my previous marriage and still have the x last name as i wanted to change it with my N400 Application. IO at the interview told me that they will be not be able to change my last name as requested in N400 and have to get it updated before oath at court.

I have short window time before my oath ceremony so did not update it. I have to sponsor citizenship for my husband (current). We have been married 2 years, have a son together. Own a house. Entered marriage in good faith again. Will it be an issue for my husband to get his GC as i still have my x last name.

The reason i did not change my last name on Green Card is i was told i can save money on the application fee and have it updated along with my N400 application but it was not as IO said.

Any thoughts..my husband has only 6 months of work permit to be in USA so i cant wait for my last name to be updated and then apply GC for him...

Please help!!!
