Moreover, lets try to find several thousand people who want to marry a dog, or more appropriately - several thousand people who want to marry a "foreign dog" and can't get a K9-1 visa .

What are we supposed to take from the comparison (that non-heterosexual sex is disgusting)? Great... and that isn't prejudicial at all is it?

Given a population of 300 some-od million, I bet we could find several thousand people if they could be convinced to come out of the dog house.

And I bet you could also find several thousand people who thought it was ok for men to have sex with little boys. In fact I know you can. It's called NAMBLA. Do you think that ought to be legal as well?

Micheal jackson was one of them lol he though it iwas ok to have sex with little boys gross. Rminds me of a SouthPark episode i watched lol.

I still will never understand till this day why being gay is so popular. Like men dressing in womens clothing is really just wrong if they are going to dress they should at least fix there hair like a woman and put on some make up to hide there manly look better lol.

You mean like Rudy Guilliani?

I completely agree with the article....yes, it is hate and he is talking about the majority of the population and for the majority of the population what he says is true therefore I don't feel offended by him putting us all in the same basket...

I'm sorry, but saying: "I have no problems with gay people/ lifestyle, BUT they shouldn't be so in my face.... they should keep a low profile..." to me says that you have a problem with gay people but you are willing to live and let live...

Exactly what the author is talking about in this article, lack of equality.... let's just look at the immigration process we are all so involved in- a gay person cannot petition their lover and partner into the country because gay marriage is not allowed, and if that partner is not able to come to US based on some other visa they are separated without the possibility of K1 or K3....

Do these couple hurt any less then us when separated?

Do they rejoice more than us when together?

I guess, it comes down to the more universal question: is the person watching someone being beaten up and doing nothing just as guilty as the person doing the beating?

So your saying that it isn't enough to accept that they have their rights but if I don't like seeing it I still have a problem? Sorry, I can accept that they have equal rights but it is still something that I don't want to see. I have that right to my opinion. I love my son, I accept that he is gay. But if he were to french kiss his lover in front of me it would still disgust me. So you think I still have a problem? The author seems to think that unless we change the way we think we are guilty of hate. I do not hate my son even though he has a lifestyle that I don't want practiced in front of me.

I disagree. I really don't have a problem with the homosexual lifestyle. However, I don't want them to get in my face pushing their belief on me, no more than I want Christians or others pushing their beliefs in my face either. Would you? Just because they choose to love differently than others, does that give some of them license to be aggressive as some of them can be? I don't get in anyone's face spouting off at the mouth about what I believe or not believe...unless asked...and even then I only answer the question. People who do this type behaviour has an agenda...and they want EVERYONE else to know it. I could care less how you or anyone else conducts their business. Just MHO.

I don't think it's right that gays and lesbians cannot petition for their partners either. I'm sure they would be just as happy and rejoicing as we are when together at last and just as lonely and sad as we are when separated. I don't see this changing...ever.

Gary - to clarify is the "in your face" homosexuality more (or as) offensive to you as a heterosexual couple doing the exact same thing?

What does "accept that they have rights" mean? They are not guaranteed equal rights based on their sequality and that is a fact...

Most people will say (and I didn't mean anyone in particular therefore it wasn't quoted) that they don't have a problem with something as long as that something stays under its own rock more or less and yes, I do think that is wrong....

If your son decides one day that he wants to become a parent and he wishes to adopt a child with his partner and is not allowed to do that because of their sexuality- how will you feel about it?

Will you be equally outraged as with him, Gods forbid, being beaten up by a bunch of drunken as***** for being gay?

The whole french kissing bit: I seriously hope I will never have to witness any of my children french kiss their respective partners no matter what gender...thank you very much but that is one visual I do not need to have...

A couple, ANY couple, "going at it" in public will cause me to turn away just because I feel there is only so much you should allow yourself to do on a park bench in the middle of the day in public....

But if it is only holding hands, a kiss, a hug - those are "innocent" displays of affection that I have no problem displaying when I'm out with my husband, or witnessing from anyone else.....

Gary, I dont think you are the same as everyone else here who are uncomfortable with this issue. You have stated clearly you want them to have equal protection under the law. Whether or not it is called marriage is another issue that even in the gay community you will find disagreement.

I am very comfortable with yous tating you do not like it or are uncomfortable with it being in yourface because though I disagree with you on your view here, you are very clear that you do not support discrimination.

Again it seems to come down to the idea that non-heterosexual sex is disgusting. It may not be to your or my tastes, but while it is not a crime and is confined to consenting adults - what's your point?

You are wrong once again. I think smoking is disgusting too but as long as I'm not exposed to it then I say let people do as they want. Just like homosexuality.

And no, homosexuality is NOT against the law... you can't legislate a person's sexuality. But in many states homosexual sex acts ARE against the law, just not enforced any more. So any sexual activity committed by a homosexual makes that person a criminal.

Ummm you introduced beastiality and pedophilia (2 forms of illegal sexually deviant behaviour involving exploitation and rape) in the same breath as homosexuality. If you don't think non-heterosexual sex is disgusting, why else would you do that?

Also I very much doubt you're exposed to beastiality or pedophilia. Moreover, its a fair bet that outside of a "noisy neighbour" you probably aren't exposed to anyone's sexual practices, let alone those of gay people.

Sure.... if you think those laws were 'just' to begin with...

These laws do not exist anymore. The Supreme Court ruled these laws unconstitutional. You are only abotu 5 years too late with this post.
