Hello All, first time post.

I'm US Citizen applying for K1 for my fiancé  from Colombia.

Filed 08/08/16

Received 08/11/16

RFE 10/11/16

RFE Response 10/24/16

4 months have passed, and we have received from a Service Request that they are still doing security checks and once they have them they will proceed to respond on petition.

Little bit of background; fiancé applied for Tourist visa twice and it was denied. It his last tourist application he was in a domestic partnership with his previous partner( Colombian too).

Have security checks slowed down due Trump Presidency politics? Have any of you guys going through similar situations?

Thank You for your responses and wise words of encouragement.
