Can you use turbotax to e-file as Married Filing Separately (MFS) AND claim an exemption for your NRA spouse IF the NRA spouse has no U.S. source income?
What is the form or statement that your NRA spouse/K-1 Visa holder file that still has their AOS under processing ?

but if he has ssn then you don't put anywhere NRA since he is resident. just file MFS and enter his SSN on the form and claim exemption. i guess in this case you can e-file

Is there a reason to file MFS? Filing joint return you are getting both exemptions (4050.00 x 2) and standard deduction in the amount of $12600.00. - MFS is only 6 300.00...

youvxam try both way : MFS and MFJ and see what is more beneficial for you. if his foreign income was big then maybe filing aeoarate is better but if it wasn't big then joint return gives you more advantage

May be benefit in filing MFS as he may need to file as dual status.....filing as US resident for the whole tax year means he must declare the foreign earned income for the whole year, including the time he was  NR.

Just do MFJ, it'a simplier, since his foreign income was small it will be declared but excluded from taxation. If you are still confused, let me know, i will help you to feel those forms

Thank you so much

Yes I honestly confused about too much things in form 2555

what should I add in part 1 no 9

"List your tax home during your tax year and date established "

Since he was from foreign country and work in another country and get vacation to travel back to his country during last 12 months before he move here

when did he arrive to usa?

his tax home will be his home country for that qualifying period before he came to usa
