Hey everyone! I have a question....I am about to do the AOS for my husband.  He came on a K1.  We went to get his SS # yesterday and cannot because his K1 visa expires next week.  According to the lady at the SS office she said since his visa expires in a week she cannot do anything. She said he should have done this as soon as he got here.  I didn't know that or I would have went sooner.  Anyway....now the problem is my credit cards, bank, and any bills I want to add him to will not let me because he has no SS #. How oh how do I prove comingingling? I have a denial letter that I can send with the AOS and a letter explaining I can't add him to anything until he gets a SS #....but what else should I do? Should I get letters from friends and family about our relationship?  Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

You have to wait until he has his ead card before you can proceed with ssn, etc... When we sent our aos package, we sent photos of the wedding, marriage certificate and messages from facebook from friends as proof of relationship. We didn't get an rfe. We are now waiting for our interview-where we will bring more evidence of relationship (joint accounts, shared bills).

Co mingling is more important at the ROC stage. They don't expect too much with newly weds.
