Hello!

my husband petitioned his mom back on June. he received a letter that the case was sent to the NVC. He received a number. he was also asked to send all documents.

We just mailed out yesterday all the documents asked for NVC (I guess all). I see that it asked for the "civil documents". Did we have to include in  the package a copy of  the cedula and passport ? We did not include anything from my mother in law.

How long did it take for them to respond after you mailed it out?

thanks in advance. I am new here.

yes you have send a photocopy of the front page of the passport also the policy certificate (papel de buena conducta) at this moment NVC is taking between 8 to 12 weeks to review the documents

we already mailed it out yesterday without those documents. Should I send another package just for the papel de buena conducta and the passport photocopy?

yes, the sooner the better. NVC will send  you a check list requesting those documents and it can take a while for nvc to send the check list. did you send both birthcertificate mom and son?

no, I did not because they already have it.

when you they already have it, it is because you send it to uscis. keep in mind that even when you submitted all the document to uscis you still have to send all the documents again to NVC
