hi I had my interview a few days ago.

Does anyone who lived in turkey with thier spouse had a temporary refusal to show proof of domicile?

I just want to know the reason for this because ı googled and cannot find anyone within turkey who had to show proof of domicile.

at interview my spouse showed them a letter stating we will stay with the sponsor and he will take care of us until we are stable. My identifications copies showing I kept my drivers license, passport ,, and social were kept up to date was given but they just gave those back.

My spouse said the woman at the interview told him I need to submit job applications and we need to write them a letter stating our plan for usa.

Is this normal for turkey?

Several people I know of here in Turkey have been told to return to the US to establish domicile. Knowing this, I'm preparing to move back ahead of my partner's interview. Are you a member of the Facebook group for filers from Turkey? You can get more specific information there.

also would you know if When showing that I have opened a bank account, do I give them my full bank account number or is an email from the bank stating I have an open account and a account summary showing last for digits of my bank account is enough?

Can I show my residence cards? I have been here for 4 years. It's been long enough that I could of applied for citizenship here but I did not because my intentions were to go to USA. We even applied an extra year on my residence card this year just in case My spouse case dragged out.

@Magical is there any update on your status with this? We just had our interview in Ankara and they didn't make an issue out of the USC petitioner living in Turkey. After seeing this thread we had included job application print outs and a letter summarizing our employment history and plans, but they just gave all of that back to us. If you could give an update that might help others applying in Turkey.
