Has anyone received any updates on their case? it's been 8months since my interview and still pending for who knows what

you kidding me ? 8 months AFTER Interview? there are tons of cases waiting for up to a year BEFORE the interview.

 H1b ---> EB-1A (I-140) ---> I-485 AOS(Green Card) ---> 5 years --->  US Citizenship N400 application

  • Day 011/16/2017, e-filing N400
  • Day 3069/18/2018,  interview day--passed and in line for oath.
  • Day 332: 10/15/2018, Oath Day

Yes, 8 months after interview. No RFE, no criminal background. just 2 minor speeding tickets. It's not only frustrating but irritating. I applied in March 2017 but things moved fairly quickly and i attended my interview in late september. The annoying thing is that my state shows completion date of 7months to 15months. I have been to two infopasses and filed 3 service requests. I get the generic letter about pending adjudication

things will not change unless you change. ...try the best you can to find sources. you never know which source is valuable!  usually   there are a "senior and junior senators in most of states . go to their website and see if you like them initially.

according to the law, senators represent the residents of their states. They usually have "potnetial" influence over USCIS field office.  But the reality is that nowadays most of the response from the senator's office are the same as the answers from USCIS hotline or the infopass.

back to 6 yrs ago, I submitted the request to both senior and junior senators of our state for my pending I-485 application. Through the communications, you will have feeling which office is nicer and willing to help and constantly send you updates.

Hi everyone! I don’t know if this means I’m stuck in the background checks or just extremely bad luck but here it goes... I had my interview back on feb 14th. Two months later April 17 they updated my case to “ we are scheduling your oath” another month passes May 24 case was updated to guess what!!!! “WE ARE SCHEDULING YOUR OATH CEREMONY” I went to my field office to see ####### is going on, they said 2 more weeks. TODAY I get a finger print notice letter to get done by June 7!!! Please can anyone tell me what I’m I suppose to do? If I do the fingerprints again that will probably restart everythinggggg all over again. I don’t know what to do

I recently crossed the 1 year mark, but no updates after biometircs. I was hoping the 1-year trigger would cause some movement in  my case as some have noted, but no luck.

Also, as luck would have it - my case was outside of normal processing times for a few days before USCIS switched the case processing time reporting process. I was able to put in an SR , but only a generic review that they will schedule an interview soon, and cannot give me any further info. With the new reporting - I am technically within processing times, so cannot escalate.

On the other hand - like others have noted, I received txt and email updates from the USCIS on Thursday. Disappointingly they were related to my ROC over a year old...oh well!

Cheers!

Any updates here? Has Ombudsman been helping to anyone? My field office processing times is now 8months  - 17 months....does that mean i can't use Ombudsman just just?

Congressional Inquiry hasn't helped at all...Just the same generic background check response

Hey Praziee - I am in same boat as you. N400 PD Aug 2016, Interviewed in Sep 17, decision cannot be made, have tried numerous infopass, service requests, senator office help, get responses such as "background check pending" or "file under review". Now I have a lawyer looking into filing mandamus for me. This is really bothering me now. All the best to you.

I feel your pain. Did you file under 5 year rule? I'm frustrated as well and not sure what to do. Any updates yet? Also, what is processing timeline for your city?
