Did anyone receive a second biometric notice? I got an email alert that biometrics has been scheduled even though I already completed my first biometrics in Jan 2018. Did some online searches and some people in 2012 and 2015 reported that the second biometrics notice means that the background check has been completed and things will progress much quickly after the second fp. Just wondering if anyone on this thread has had a similar experience

hello, folks, new to join this post....i  e-filed in 11/2017 and it has been 5 months since biometrics.  nothing occured since then. the average N400 processing at our local field office is said to be 13-20 months(Minneapolis ,Minnesota) .

I know Minnesota office is terribly slower than the majority offices crossing the country as  all N400 applications from  3.5 states of MN,SD,ND,WI will be processed through this office.

is there anything i can do to know if my background check is cleared. or at least to know the current status?  thanks

Is a class action lawsuit an option at this point? Been stuck for months, and the local office stopped doing InfoPass appts.

the time-consuming and costive lawsuit will be under consideration when your case is out of processing timeline of your local field office. simply, if you have been pending for over a year, it might be a solution.

Most field offices now have processing times over 1 year, Mine has 14.5 months processing time now,  does this mean we have to wait out the processing time to file the lawsuit, or can we file it at the 1 year mark ?

I think you need a compelling evidence that your case is delayed beyond reasonable timeframe. I would assume being out of normal processing time is one of the conditions. Don't worry, once you file lawsuit your case will advance quickly.

So, going back to my old question, do I file the lawsuit at the 1 year mark or when my case is out of processing time ? Since it is a costly affair I dont want to lose money by filing too early and being asked to wait the few extra months.

you definitely will need hiring a lawyer to sue,.  your attorney will then answer your questions at the initial evaluation of your case (usually the first consulting is free before you sign agreement with lawyer ).

my understanding is ,if you are currently within the processing time of your resident state, you dont have strong evidence why you sue the government. 1-year is not a mark practically. i believe immigration lawyer will give you better answers.

meanwhile, you may want to try the white house first lady for assistance, although Mrs. Trumop is not passionate about politics. she is an immigrant and had been through the same process as we are doing now.
