How was the interview, what questions did they ask?

Congrats to those of you finally making it through! They've updated the field office processing times as of August 31, so I was able to put in an "outside of processing times" notice. (No updates since biometrics on Jan 31, 2017, with status still in "fingerprint appointment was scheduled, ugh!) Supposedly they will get back to me by November 5th. Hoping, hoping this starts moving FINALLY!

It looks like October 10 is the BIG date that USCIS touched old case again. I search the 100 NOA numbers around me, and see significant number of status change on October 10 for " in line for Interview" or "Interview is scheduled". I also see on forum that people reported status change on that date. My case is still stay as "finger print scheduled", so name check is not still cleared.

 

I also strongly believe USCIS schedules the interview, instead of field office, because I see some "interview scheduled" on Oct 10.

 

I am wondering how often the USCIS touch the old cases.

That is only an artifact. I had my interview scheduled on Sep 11, but my online status did not change until Oct 10th. I think that they just did not update their web database for long time and this database is apparently not coupled with their internal IT system, so you do not get real-time updates. The web interface is periodically updated, but these updates are not correlated with the internal workflow, unless they are updated daily. But, at least recently, these updates became less reliable.

But your status shows "On sep11, you interview is scheduled"? Although you got message on October 10.

I had seen quite numbers shows " On Oct10,...."

My husband just got his update today - his case is FINALLY in line for interview!!!! (Date - 10-19-17).

First change since Jan 31 2017 biometrics. So happy! And only a very few days after I put in a "out-of-processing-times" service request. Hmmm.

I saw your comment then I checked mine because I and your husband both have almost the same bio date. His is Jan 31 and mine is Jan 30. Finally the good news came, on 10/19 my interview was scheduled and the mail is on the way home. I will update you when I get the letter.

 

I guarantee with your request doesn’t do anything with the process. What come, will come. I never sent any request because I know they won’t help. Just be patient and wait.

 

Please also update me when your hudband have the interview date.

Whoops, @cybermax I accidentally replied to you in the wrong thread earlier. Anyway, congratulations! This is such great news. I will keep you posted about my husband's interview date. I hope they schedule it ASAP after this long wait.

Well, it's something I guess.

An update from this month from a few months ago, and good things show:

 

In Line for Interview - 3

Interview Scheduled - 13

Oath scheduled/mailed - 4

Fingerprint status - 33

 

A majority of the updates are dated late in the month, or so it appears from my data. But good to hear that things are indeed moving. 

 

Will try to update this next month, and hopefully the number of fingerprint status will go down even further now that people are outside of normal processing times.

I search 200 cases on October 12 around my date (finger print in May) and found 13 are in fingerprint status.

1 case is a lucky one, October 17 is already "in scheduling," October 20 updated with " interview is scheduled".

12 case is left in fingerprint status.

 

I will track those cases.

I filed August 10, 2017. Did my fingerprints September 6, 2017. My status still shows' Case was Received August 15, 2017
