Take your I-94, SS card, marriage certificate - not license to DMV. You can get a temp good until the I94 expires, by then hopefully you will have 797 NOA and cab do it again for a 4 month DL. That is what we did. Got her first under I94 after expiration, used 797. You just need to ask for help from supervisor, most employees have no idea what to do.  What part of town are you in? WE went to the one in Marrietta and they were friendly and helpful.

I'm in Tucker. The DMV in Norcross is the closest for me. Marietta is too far away. ?

Do I get the real DL or a learner's license? Just asking because I already have a German driver's license.

Take the written test, get learners, then schedule and take driving test for real. My wife waited a week between test and driving test so she could practice in my much bigger vehicle. If you are comfortable in the car you use, as soon as you take pass the written test, go online and schedule the driving test. She had her Ukrainian dl but it was not an international dl, so we were just careful, can't afford any strikes during this process )))))
