I sent my husband's I-130 on March 1, it was received March 2 by USCIS (I know from UPS email). When will they cash the check and when will I receive NOA1? It seems like people are saying that the process is taking a long time...longer than usual.

Everywhere I've looked it has said that the process for immediate relatives takes around 5 months, but according to a lot of people here on VJ it's been taking 10 months or longer. Is the 10 months or longer meaning that it's taking that long to even get an interview scheduled, or is that the total time?

I'm also living in Canada, as a US citizen, so I need to know what the timeline looks like in case I need to get another visa to stay here until my husband's application gets approved.

Our second wedding anniversary is October 4, 2017. So, it may not be too bad to have to wait, because then he will be eligible for the 10 year; but I was hoping to start classes again in August in the US. I guess I may have to apply for the spring semester and forget about going back in August... :(

Canada are pretty strict on a US Domicile, takes about a year.

Just now, Boiler said:

I'm not worried about the US domicile portion, as I have established address, cell phone, bank account, etc...

Just was hoping to get there faster than a year.

Maybe a little bit less, difficult to tell.
