Transfer of ROC cases from VSC to CSC

One of our July 2016 posters @PEEKABOO561 received a notice at the end of February 2017 stating that their I-751 has been transferred from VSC to CSC.

Has anybody else experienced one of these workload transfers recently? I can't find anything online about a workload transfer, except that old notice from 11/06/2014.

It's always a good thing for some/bad thing for others when they transfer files.  For example, I am an April 2016 filer.  If June 2016 filers are transferred to CSC, there is a very good chance that the June 2016 people will be approved before the April 2016 people - just because CSC seems to work so much faster!

However - maybe this case is a one-off.  It will be interesting to see how things go!

I can't for the life of me understand why they would transfer one case, makes no sense at all.  CSC seem to be slowing down, but I will look around for you see if I can find any answers. :)

I'm a VSC filer.  There are some very early February 2016 VSC filers who have been approved.  I'm at the end of April 2016, so it's going to be 2-3 months before they get to us.

I wonder if the transfer was someone who had moved from the East Coast to the West Coast....

That makes it even MORE interesting!

I was in a group of folks that got transferred from MSC to TSC during the I-130 stage.  It took us about 3-4 months longer than everyone else.  So I am very wary of transfers!

Last VSC to CSC I-751 workload transfer happened in August 2015. When that happened, VSC was processing December 2014 cases and they transferred all January/February 2015 cases to CSC. Once a workload transfer happens: 1) they announce it on USCIS website, 2) pretty much everyone gets notified quickly. 3) the transferred cases get processed immediately within days after the transfer. Check the timelines in those January/February 2015 threads, when they got transferred, and whey they were approved.

The other thing I've noticed when these kind of workload transfers happen is CSC is crazy fast during those periods like 2-3 months (hard to believe but from time to time there are some lucky filers). For instance when that last I751 transfer happened in August 2015, CSC was processing May 2015 cases.

I keep my fingers crossed for all VSC sufferers that they got transferred to CSC as soon as possible but looks like that might a random transfer. I don't see any reason why they would skip April/May/June cases and transfer a July case while CSC itself is not even processing its July cases. And since that transfer happened in 2/22, you guys should have known about it by now.

Yes,  we looked at transfers on the USCIS website and nothing. I just find it a tad bizarre that they transfer a singular case.  However, VSC did have a meeting in September and ROC was brought up about slow processing times, they mentioned hiring extra staff to bring the waiting time to 6 months.  As of now it seems they haven't played catch up.  And so the waiting carries on, I'm one of those unlucky ones I filed at Vermont and I will be surprised if I hear anything until this time next year.

I'm sure ROCs are always brought up in VSC meetings. They created this mess over the last 1.5 years for whatever reason, now then need to fix it. They need an executive decision to totally eliminate VSC from ROC processing. That'd be best decision ever. Seriously. Let CSC be the single service center for ROCs. Over the past years they moved few more states to file at CSC to help ease VSC workload but as long as NYC/BOS/DC/PHI file at VSC, their workload won't change much. For whatever reason, CSC was always good with ROCs. VSC, there were times they were good (like in 2012-2013 believe it or not they were actually faster than CSC for certain months), then there are times like now, where people suffer.

That is really interesting. I never thought it like that before having NYC/BOS/PHIL all filing there.

I guess what really gets to me is that the prices they charge us,  every visa seems to go up regularly and that is ok if the service reflected the price increase, but it does not.

I have heard from a report I read yesterday that the USCIS staff have said enough is enough and turned to their management and said we are sick and tired of these workloads. Hence, they are to suspend premium processing with the H1B in April, so they can play catch up.  I think USCIS management need to listen to their workers and also to the people, i.e US who pay their wages.
