Hi All, apologies if I missed this topic! I am curious to find out how fast I could get a work permit upon coming to the US. Due to work obligations in the

Netherlands, I am only able to fly out 1/2 August. Currently we are waiting for the interview date etc, but I am

pretty sure I could fly out these dates. I have been offered to start teaching on 29 August, and I am curious to find out what the possibilities are if

I already have a job offer and can show this on paper, is there any way to speed up the process before entering the US? And what are

the steps upon arriving? Can we apply for the EAD, and then apply to expedite? The university interesting in taking me on knows we have applied

for a K1 and are very supportive, and I would like to give them an indication of my availability. If I miss out on this teaching opportunity, I would have

to wait a whole semester, which would amount to severe financial loss (if I understand the conditions correctly).

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You won't get EAD within a month. Then you should have done the spouse visa.

Once the EAD (AOS package) have been filed you'll be called for your bio appointment after that you can ask for an expedite of the EAD with a valid job offer.

You would need to marry as soon as you arrive and apply asap with an expedite, so maybe but looks a long shot.

Thank you for your reply. Just want to check the steps for this, get married, apply for EAD/AOS, wait for bio appointment, get NOA1, and then request to expedite?
