Yes. Think of it this way, without the 485 there is no basis to file an EAD for free, so if there is a problem with the 485, then it will at least pause the EAD. Now what varies is how soon they will process it after receiving the requested information. Be that as it may, you are still eligible to file a service request after day 75 as approaching, and again after day 90 as outside of processing times, even though right now it seems the processing times have been extended with even ppl without an RFIE taking more than 90 and in some cases over 100 days.
