Hello everyone,

ive received my conditional green card and became a permanent resident in January this year through marrying a US citizen.

I am in the process of changing my legal name (as my name is very difficult to pronounce and having hard time getting a job due to that) so I am getting an Americanized name. I've been using my English name for almost half of my life and didn't want to wait till I am naturalized.

I was wondering how the process should go.

a. Going to the court and get the name change petition

b. Social security card renewal

c. Driver license, credit card etc

d. I-90 to replace green card

so in what order does it need to be done?

also is it required to replace a passport too? I am not planning on traveling outside of the country till I get citizenship and get a US passport.

also are there any steps I am missing anywhere?

thank you!
