Required doc for N400 marriage based

Hi, the latest instructions for N400 marriage based naturalization indicates that Required Evidence to be submitted with the application is the marriage certificate only and "to bring spouse's US citizenship, tax receipts etc" to the interview. But, all other checklists indicates that I should submit the spouse is US citizen etc supporting docs in the application. Can someone help clarify?

I've only ever followed the USCIS form instructions. What other checklists are you referring to? So if the official form instructions exclusively say bring xyz at this time, then I would do that. The guides here say "Only if required send copies of the following documents". Again, if that's what USCIS is instructing you to do as a filer - then that's what you should do. That's how I see it anyway.

Check the items listed under "If you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following 4 items" on first page of https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/article/attachments.pdf .

We sent certified copy of our marriage certificate and the last 3 years of IRS transcript. For our interview, we brought original marriage certificate and another set of IRS transcript. The IO just glanced at the marriage certificate as well as the IRS transcript.
