Hi VJ members.  My wife's and my case seems to moving with a slight asterisk.  Had interview 1 Dec 16, needed communication evidence, brought 14 Dec 16, in AP since with barely no updates.  Checked CEAC on 3 Mar, however, and finally an update, though still AP.  I thought maybe my number had come up in the NSA, FBI que and background checks had begun.   But when I checked CEAC the next day when I awoke for work at 4am it updated again.  That let me know that the update came from the embassy because the FBI, NSA does no work at 4am.  It was 10am at the west African embassy and they were the ones 'touching' the case file.  Started to feel better and that maybe our case was on the verge of resolution, one way or the other.  Here's the asterisk part.  Got a call from my wife and she says the embassy called and told her that they didn't have the police record and she needed to bring it in.  Hard to believe because I know she brought it in.  We had the original and english translation with multiple copies.  We also checked with the embassy after the 1st month in AP to see in anything more was needed, I emailed, she visited.  We both got the same response; nothing more was needed and the AP had to be completed with the obligatory 'Be Patient'.  We were even though I was getting angrier than a bleepableeper.  but back to the matter.  It wasn't that big a deal even though I know she brought Police Record to the interview.  I know how to deal with the gov't and she had an extra one just in case.  I emailed them copies of the first ones she got even though I knew that those would not be deemed acceptable.  Anyway, she brought the extra one in this afternoon and they accepted it and told her to wait for their call.

I'm feeling good that approval is on the way.  AP should be complete as the embassy is the one doing the work now.  I don't think they would've asked for the police record if they intended to deny.  they would've just flat out returned it to USCIS.  I know nothing is ever certain with this process but my faith is solid and unshakable!  She will be here before May 1...hopefully!!!
