hi everyone! Otman got his notice today telling him that

Receipt Number: MSC**********

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On April 5, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

is this normal? did we make it through without an interview? cool beans!!!

Congratulations! Yes, this means the AOS application has been approved. Your husband's file was transferred to CSC and it usually means approval without having to go in for interview.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

You should get another email soon to verify that the I-485 has been approved, but the Welcome Notice does indeed come first.

I've been crossing my fingers so bad that my joints hurt. lol :D

I hope it happens to us, but I doubt I know people here in Orlando who have applied recently and they were called for interviews... noone I know has had their cases transferred to CSC.
