It is amazing how 4 days can can make a huge difference... my estimate was moved forward by 4 days!!! I don't know why, but this just makes me feel so much better!!!  hehe

I've got another random question here... I have applied for a job that will take me away for a few months... mid June till sometime in August... I am fairly certain my NOA2 would come during this time, my questions is:
is there any thing or reason that would make me need to be at home and not away during this time? So, is there something vital that I might need to provide and wouldn't be able to if I was away? If there was something that would keep me, then I would not take this job.
Any help would be great! =)
Thanks!! :D

Oh tell me about it!
Mine moved 2 days and it made me feel sooooo much better! :D:D:D

I don't think there's anything to do except for copying the NOA2 and mailing it out with your other stuff.
But no guarantee! :)

@pajobra : I wish you a pleasant stay and great times with the fiancé! :):):)

When are you all "guessing" that your fiance/fiancee will have their interview? I'm soooo frustrated because I found a super affordable perfect flight to go visit my fiance with the Airline/layover I prefer, but the plan has been for me to wait until he gets his interview date so I can go to it with him and then *hopefully* we can fly back here to the US together. This flight is $950 round-trip with the next closest flight in price being like $1200+. And if I wait until he gets is interview date then book it's going to be $1700+ since it will only be 1-2 months in advance. Arghhhh. It's for Sep 3 - Oct 3 which based on our NOA2 approval estimate in July, is possible for him to have his interview during that time, but with the unpredictability of this process I just don't think I can count on anything.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

My fiance bought tickets for late August (the price was almost like yours, about $1100), and I do hope to attend the interview together. According to the timeline estimate, we should be approved in mid June but even if it happens in July, there's still enough time for our case to reach the embassy.

When he first came to see me, he booked his tickets less than 2 months in advance (haha, crazy butterflies in his stomach were apparently making all the decisions), and they cost him about $1800:o Now that we have to spend an awful lot of money on this wonderful immigration process for me and my 2 kids, such spontaneity is not affordable any more:)

yeah exactly! The first and second time I went to visit, I of course looked for the cheapest but didn't care so much about price. Now we have so many things to pay for that $400-500 difference in flights is huge considering all of the expenses involved with this process! And I can't even imagine it with 2 kids as well! Right now we're concerned because we didn't have a formal engagement ceremony and I haven't met his parents in person yet (although they are totally supportive of us) so I really wanted to attend the interview. India is known for being difficult with interracial couples. We planned on doing both of those when I visit so worst case if I miss the interview at least we'll have that additional evidence for him to bring to the interview showing that I was just there.

I hope the timing works out for us both! Good luck!! :)

Thank you! Luck is what we all need, with processing times being so unpredictable...

Additional evidence in case the interview is later is our plan B too.

I will be flying to pick up my lady in the Philippines to bring her back to the USA  so it's going to be super expensive to get her and come back. I am just hoping total pay no less then $3000 that's what I have saved now

$3000 for just you or for both of you?

I expect to have my interview in September. I am the beneficiary. Least that is when I hope to have it. Then my Mum can come with me to Montreal for my medical and the interview and we can sight-see while there since we have to stay a week. Might as well make the most of it. My Mum is paying for the place we stay as a gift to me and my fiance during this tough time. :D

that's awesome! So sweet of your mum!! :) And yeah I am hoping for my fiance's interview to be in September also. I'm going to request the leave of absence through my work and if worst case I miss his interview, at least we will have additional evidence from us having an engagement ceremony and me being there again.
