Hi everyone!

I was sharing some info about TOEFL preparation with a VJ user from a different thread, and I thought that it might be interesting for our March group as well.

So, if any beneficiaries here are going to take TOEFL, I would gladly share some links.

It may be a little early, but he could just sign it but not date it. You can then date it closer to the interview. He will need to gather all the evidence for the affidavit of support along with the cosponsors information as well. In truth, because the evidence needs to be dated near the interview date, it may be better if he just mails you everything closer to the interview.

@CubaAndChill thanks a lot for a hint and advise!

Silly question, probably.
I just googled what TOEFL is. Language test?
Is that required for immigration, or just a good thing for people, who aren't as fluent in English yet?

Well, it's not required for immigration, at least for our type of visa:)

Those who are going to continue studying in the States will most certainly need to take it (unless they are native English speakers, of course:)), each college or university has a minimum score that an applicant must get to be enrolled. As far as I know, many employers might ask their potential foreign-born employees to provide the results of this test (or some other one, like IELTS or one of the Cambridge exams) to prove their proficiency.

Oh ok! Thank you! :)

I'm glad I'm pretty fluent.

I was just wondering, because it wouldn't have surprised me. In Germany we have some standards as well. I don't know for which things you need it, but an American I know, who married a German and moved here had to take it for some reason. But ok, his German was... not existing. Haha :)

they have recieved and are having to file a lot of the rfe info it appears. It must slow the system down terrible having to file it put them  in a box of recieved and ready. Hopefully the rfe rate slows down, if it doesnt its bound to keep pushing everyone back. Im not being criticle of anyone lol, but its just fact. As much info as I gave my lawyer Im sure if you catch the wrong person on the wrong day a RFE... Lets just hope the rate of touched approvels goes up, and maybe the hiring freeze is lifted and they hire some more clerks to help with the fiing while case mnagers can get back to cases lolol...yes im feeling frustrated as is my fiance. we both have friends  few months ago that got there noa2 in a mater of weeks not months.... grrrrr lolol...

Is anyone else getting super discouraged by reading the Jan/Feb threads!? Everyone has been waiting SO long and I am already at the point where I feel like I can't wait any longer even though it's barely been a month since I filed. July seems like soooo far away and now I'm starting to question if we will even see many approvals in July based on the way things are currently going with CSC. It's really taking every bit of strength I have to not just give up and go move to be with my fiance right now! :( But I know as soon as I get there we would receive an approval, that's just the way life works. Lol. Maybe I just need to force myself to take a break from checking this website until July so I can find a way to distract myself from the anticipation of our approval.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

I actually stepped away a bit because I was making myself crazy reading so many different opinions on things for the next steps and seeing so many people still waiting and running across threads on AP :o  Time has been going faster for me the less I've obsessed, but I think it will be harder to stay away when approvals for March eventually start rolling in
