For a fun activity while waiting I created an account of Wayfair.com and gave my fiancee a list of furniture to look for that I am lacking or would like to change. My furniture is very utilitarian since I've spent most of my single life outside of my home and never felt the need to decorate too much. I was interested in seeing what her tastes and style are in the home decor realm. Hope to pick up a few pieces as a surprise before she arrives.

Sorry please disregard previous question.. I'm going a little  crazy...lol

My question is what is the grace period from the time our fiance's are approved for the k-1 visa to arrive to the US?

I believe its 6 months from the date of the medical.

Ouch... #3528 on the list. Guess I better make myself comfortable. Thanks @CubaAndChill!!

Don't read too much into where you are on the list. As we have all seen cases can be approved in any order.

I think it's either 6 months from the day you get your visa, or from the medical.. I can't remember exactly. But, if you do a search through the forums, I'm sure someone has answered the question for sure. I believe you should come into the US with your medical still valid because I believe you can get sent back if it's not valid and then you'll have to do another one for AOS.

Today marks day 60 since date received. I just got back on Friday from spending a week with my fiancée in San Salvador, El Salvador. That was a real experience! We spent a day hiking up the Santa Ana volcano then spent several days at an all inclusive beach resort. First full week of vacation I've had in years! I'm getting where I don't care if its a RFE or what, I just want to hear something about the petition...

Congrats on going to see your fiance! It must've felt so nice to spend some time together before things start getting crazy :)

If I'm not totally wrong it's 6 months from getting the visa issued. Then 90 days time to get married, from the first entry on.
But they say you shouldn't do the medical too early because it's only valid for one year and you need it for the AOS.

If these rules are still valid, then it's correct! :)

Hi guys.

Am I the only one who has this annoying feeling that I'll be receiving an rfe:blink:

I met my fiance online and we never included the terms of service from the website. I emailed their customer service to ask if they have any proof they're not an international marriage broker, and they said they're not. So, I'm trying to collect all this info just in case we get an rfe

1 and a half month left, I guess, till we hear from USCIS!

Sooo.. I have gotten myself locked out from running the USCIS scans for a few days  I think I scanned too many cases yesterday so it's blocked me for a few days. Nevertheless, I did run the batch that I was missing and found quite a few cases in it with received dates of 03/02 & 03/03 so once I'm unblocked I'll run the scan again so everyone can find their case number; then I'll continue to run weekly until they consistently touch March cases.

I realized after I sent mine I didn't even explicitly state how we met online.  I thought they just wanted details on our in person meetings, so I focused on that.  Won't be surprised if I get one
