Dani is fine, he adjusted fast, even school system is different as in Europe. He likes the school more, especially because he is 8th grade and he got the chrome/lap top which makes learning and student-teacher communication easier. Homework is done through this chrome classroom and submitted easily.

There is a parent portal app where parent can track the grades and attendance, efforts, quizzes, homework, assignments.

There is really nothing that he would like to adjust or change. His home classroom teacher told me that he is doing great, communicating with kids, he participate on classes, ask questions...I wrote her an e-mail to share how shy he is and not so willing to communicate until he get know better his environment and people:D and she said he is totally opposite from what you have told me about him:rolleyes:

I was afraid but thanks god all is good!

Hope your children will be fine as well and will adjust!

Fantastic! So maybe he needed this change to overcome his shyness. Hopefully my little monkeys can adjust easily too:)

We really can not know, I thought he will have a hard time to adjust.

But this was positive surprise for me, I am more than happy being wrong with my expectations. I wish  all the best, fingers crossed for both kids to adjust easily, so as you :D

I was browsing and found this link, maybe someone finds it useful, it is a blog with some hints and tips about aos/ap/ead procedures

Check out http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide for some instructions of what's to come.  Those instructions don't mention the DS-160 for some reason.

Here's what my fiance and I have been able to find out.  Disclaimer: I haven't been through these steps myself.  Just trying to help you out.

Those in the know, please correct me if I'm wrong or missing anything.  :D We haven't completed any of these steps yet, so it would help us so much if I'm mistaken about anything! (L)

- The US citizen needs to fill out i-134 and provide proof that they can support their fiance financially (must be 125% the poverty level or so -- check https://www.zanebenefits.com/blog/2017-federal-poverty-level-guidelines for 2+ people):

  • letter from the employer attesting to salary (signed by your employer!)
  • tax transcripts or w2, showing your wages
  • paycheck stubs for the last few months confirming the salary
  • bank statements confirming deposits
  • if you don't have enough income showing with just the salary, you can do savings account, etc but you'll have to check the guidelines to make sure the funds are sufficient

- US citizen will also need to send another intent to marry letter to the fiance with a more recent date (might be good to have your fiance do a new one too).

- US citizen should make a copy of the I-129f approval letter (the i-797) and send the original to fiance (someone please confirm this)

- Fiance can start filling out the ds-160 online (they'll need a passport photo taken within the last 6 months, and depending how long your I-129F took, it may have to be a more recent one), but don't submit/sign it until you're asked for it -- you can save your progress in the meantime, though.

- Fiance can apply for a police certificate just in case the embassy asks for it -- this may take a long time to get, so best to start ASAP

- Fiance should find out where they'll need to schedule the doctor appointment just to be prepared.  Make sure to get a copy of the DS-3025!  You'll need it for your Adjustment of Status process, later, else they'll make you get checked up/vaccinated again

- You should prepare some more chat/phone logs and some more recent photos, as proof of your relationship since filing the I-129f.  These will need to be brought to the interview.

- If you guys haven't already done so, the I-129F petition copy and all the documents/photos you had there should also be sent to the fiance for the interview.

All of the documents US citizen sends to the fiance (i-134, intent to marry, employer letter) must have original signatures -- they'll check for that.

Don't forget about the CEAC tracker, once the NVC receives your case and the case number is assigned. https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Thank you!😊

So last night, I get this email.  It says my file has been reviewed.  My question is the noticeable missing from this list is the I.134, and Continuing Relationship Evidence.   Is this list standard? Or is my heavily front loaded I.129f paying off?

Any Ph filers see any difference in this email compared to yours?  I also noticed the font is different in the list part than the rest of the e-mail font, like a blank was typed on with what they needed.......

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL. Please be advised that this account is unable to receive messages. For inquiries you may send an e-mail to support-philippines@ustraveldocs.com or call the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502 Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S should call (703) 520-2235, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:

REF CASE: MNL201773XXXX

Congratulations on your upcoming immigrant visa interview.  Your file is now with the U.S. Embassy in Manila and we have had a chance to review it.  Based on our review, you need to bring the following documents with you to your interview:

FROM APPLICANT(S)

- Application Fee

- Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

- Certificate of No Record of Marriage (CENOMAR) issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) within the past 12 months for XXXXXXXXXXX

- Medical examination results for XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

CLEARANCES

- National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) Clearance issued within the past 12 months for  XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Please remember to bring with you:

- Bring a valid passport and all expired passports for each applicant.

- Bring a confirmation page from your DS-260 online application for each visa applicant.

- If you have lived in a country other than the Philippines or the United States for more than 12 months, please submit a police clearance from that country.  For more information please go to: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html, search for the country you lived in before, and look at the information provided in the "police records" section.

- All applicants must register their delivery address online.  We are unable to deliver your passport and visa if you fail to register a delivery address. To register online, click on the “Select Document Delivery Address” link under the Immigrant Visas section of our website (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/) .  Once there, click on the first link under the “More Actions”  to register a delivery address for the first time, or to change an existing delivery address. If you have any question(s) on how to register a delivery address, please contact Manila’s Visa Information and Appointment Service Center at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.

We hope this email helps you prepare for your interview.  If you are unable to obtain all of the requested documents, you may still attend your interview at the U.S. Embassy. However, if you do not bring these documents to your interview, it will delay the issuance of your visa.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Section

U.S. Embassy

Manila, Philippines

I have seen that sometimes embassies don't have the I-134 in their list of required documents. Would recommend you take it to the interview anyway though just in case.

At my interview (Montreal, Canada), they did not ask for any evidence of continuing relationship other than the consular said can I see what he looks like (my fiance) and I mentioned his mom in the conversation and she said can I see a picture of her - and I had taken an album of pictures of us and us with our families so I had all that. I also had boarding passes and receipts etc but didn't need it.

Olya, what's email from the justice of the peace?

And didn't know it is necessary to bring new letters of intent. Good to know.

I am a different embassy than you but I definitely needed a new letter of intent, from the petitioner and dated within 30 days of the interview.

I tried so hard to find another Trini on here and I can't believe how close our interview dates are apart (Oct.27) at first I was abit disappointed that the date wasn't sooner but now that my nerves have kicked in I'm pretty satisfied with the date. Best wishes chica

Hellooooooo....Yaaaaay another one of us!!!! We are very very very few in here. I know of a couple others like @Nameless and @FindHerKeepHer who have already been through this interview stage and are now with their loves. I too was hoping for an earlier date but I have accepted it is what it is and now it's the anxious wait for the interview and hopefully approval.

Ok, so my RFE was received, whats ,my next step? Its been so long I don't remember anymore

I'm glad you have something but I'm disappointed their answer wasn't an approval.  But we've recently seen RFE's turn into approvals a week after they was answered.

What's your RFE for?  Can you easily respond to it?

Packet 4 received!

Our lawyer actually wants to wait to schedule the appointment until the police certificates arrive.

The main one is probably already in the mailbox, but we needed on for Ireland and we only requested it last week.

Evidence is they're fast, but we have no idea when it might show and can't seem to find any way of expediting it.

Thanx Amy :)  Sounds like you was really prepared for the interview, even having a mother in law pic lol

I thought that regardless of the email, I'll take everything I can think of to interview.  Apparently it is a canned email and not a tailored text.
