Hey everyone! I am a little confused if there is anything more we need for the Affidavit of support. This is what we have so far:

  • the completed form
  • bank statements with the total amount of money deposited
  • letter of employment
  • w2s for the last 2 years
  • pay stubs for 6 months
  • 2 years of income tax return electronically filed copies

I was also wondering if there is any of these documents that need to be signed, i'd be thankful if someone would tell me

Our consul must have read the Skype screenshots thoroughly because she asked very specific questions.

Also we had pictures, new letters of intent and an email from the justice of the peace. That was enough.

Olya, what's email from the justice of the peace?

And didn't know it is necessary to bring new letters of intent. Good to know.

Also I'm interested if they require the paystubs? I didn't see it listed on the I-134. I was thinking of omitting them since I flipped my status to married early to get tax benefit. We will marry before January. I don't want to give them paystubs if I don't have to due to this change for tax benefit.

enough.

Question for you all. It is my understanding that after the interview all individuals will have their status show administrative processing. As long as there is no direct communication from the consulate regarding the need for additional information it should be fine and the visa issued soon correct? My fiancé passed her visa interview on September 11 but he status according to the CEAC website says administrative processing with a last modified date of September 14. Is this normal? Should I be contacting someone to expedite it? Our wedding is planned for October 14 and I just want her to have the visa and her passport in hand.

How long does it take for the visa to be delivered? My fiancé passed her interview on Monday but still hasn't received it. Should we expect it by early next week? She is in Guangzhou China

What did your status state when you tracked the visa after the interview..  Just wondering

I didn't check it until late Friday. My fiancé has not received any correspondence from the consulate about needing more information or documents so I'm assuming it's fine but it still makes me nervous. Our wedding is planned for October 14 so as long as she's here by then we will be ok. Should I contact the NVC?

I saw some posts where some people were mentioning about them so we just wanted to be safe. Others were saying everything went fine only having the employment letter and tax returns so I guess it depends on the embassy of each country by this point

Thanks ill keep this in mind, maybe I will give fiancé in case they demand it and just have her explain why I flipped it to married early. Has your case been received by NVC yet? I am NOA2 9/5/2017 as well and they have received mine yet.

It hasn't been received yet, my fiance just called in the morning and they said to call back friday because it takes a while for the approval to get sent and they also don't put into their system so fast even though it might have arrived. By this point we are just trying to focus on getting everything else ready so that way we don't delay it more

Sorry I meant they havn't received mine yet. Yeah the had 17 approvals for 09/05 which a lot higher than normal so I expected delays. Good call on staying focused. I will do the same.

So a few months ago I got a quote for my dog Lola's flight and it was £1,500.... fast forward 6 months and I call the company and ask for an up to date quote for November and amazingly it has got even more expensive... £2,000. Yep, you heard me right £2,000.

Did they tell your fiance she was approved after the interview? Did they hand her a slip of paper (221g) asking for any additional documents? Then it should be fine.

All cases go through Administrative Processing before they issue the visa, and that takes longer for some consulates than others, but you shouldn't be worried for now.

Hopefully the status will change to issued soon. Good luck!

Really that quick?

With the extreme lack of daily approvals for I-129F

NVC folks are most likely sitting around twiddling their thumbs.

I do realize they work other cases but still.

Call them today or first thing tomorrow and every day after that until they give it to you.
