Thank you guys, but it turns out it was too soon to celebrate. While the bank was contemplating whether or not it might be a fraud transaction, the travel agent finished their working day and went home:( Waiting for Monday now, I do hope nobody else finds those tickets today or tomorrow...

Olechka, pls, try not be dissapointed. This is peanuts and easy to fix.

Just think about coming reunion. ;)

And I do wish this tickets to wait for you till Monday! ;)

Where do u schedule for ur medical? Or it is the same website as the interview? When completing the ds 160?

Geeez, I don't know.  Can you find / google the Ghana embassy then go to embassy website, and find the non immigrant visa section?  There should be embassy specific information of the name of the authorized medical providers that can do the medical for you.  The DS-160 is actually the application for the K1 visa.  Seems silly, but your 129F was application to apply LOL.  Now that uscis has approved your 129F, you may proceed with the DS-160.  The US State Dept actually doesn't do the medical itself, doesn't schedule the medical, and they only trust very few practitioners to do the medical.  In your country, it may be 1 to 3 providers that may do the medical, but I am not familiar with who it is.....  One thing I may suggest is to click on 'Portals' above and contact someone that has recently gone thru Ghana as a K1 for pointers.

I wish I knew about your embassy requirements for K1, but it is so diverse between embassies. :)

Hi everyone! Any assistance or suggestions will be greatly appreciated... I got a notification that there has been an update on my case via the USCIS website on September 1st.. when I checked, it says "REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE WAS MAILED" ..it was mailed from USCIS ON SEPTEMBER 1... I have not recieved anything yet. Is it normal to have not recieved the RFE they sent out 9 days later?? Please.. any help would be greatly appreciate. We are just looking for some hope :/

Will I get a problem during my interview if Id give them a scanned affidavit of support signed and dated with blue ink? Should it always be a black ink? My fiance filled out the form using a black ink, we only use the blue ink for his signature and date.

It happens sometimes that it can take up to a week or even 10 days for a USCIS letter to arrive. Considering how this past weekend was a holiday long one, I don't think you have to be really worried yet. But yes, it's annoying

Old school said you should sign your documents with blue ink so they can see it's not a photocopy. In this case, they admit scans and copies, so of course it shouldn't be an issue.

This happened to me for my first trip to Ukraine. I had to sit on the phone with Visa while they changed settings on my account about 5 times and escalate to a supervisor before my ticket purchase finally went through. It was a bit frustrating. I purchased my tickets online, so I was able to get instant feedback about whether the purchase was declined or not.

Eric bought his tickets online when he was travelling alone, and had no such problems. But now, with this travel agent, I have already started having some culture shock:wacko: The way she works looks as if she is paying us money, not otherwise.

Hi Holly! Did you husband have his medical scheduled at Biomedica Clinic? They told me the same thing, that my tonsils were swollen and charged me extra. Lol. What a rip off.

Yes, that is where it was done at. I think they only do that so that they can charge extra =( It should not be allowed for that to happen in my opinion
