Well, guys, we've got not really good news today.

Called NVC to figure out why we are still "at NVC" status.

Our case is undergoing through administrative procedures. They are unable to give a time frame. And we have to wait until they'll notify us via email for further instructions once it is released. No further information can be obtained during this time.

We will call again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and so on and so far. This is the only thing we can do now for only God knows how long.

I'm not even upset or frustrated, I guess lost is the only word that is more appropriate.

Oh no, have you tried to google what 'administrative procedures' are exactly? I thought NVC was just the middle man passing the cases to the embassies.

Oh nooo... So unfortunate:( You had to wait too long without this stupid processing:(

I do hope they can do whatever they are doing quickly.

If you have to reschedule the medical because of that, I think it shouldn't be a problem. But you paid for the interview already... Do you know how long the payment is valid for?

I'm doing it right now.

As far as I've already found out NVC can proceed with checking case as long as USCIS and nobody knows exactly for how long it will last.

I hope so too, at least I'm praying for that.

My fault with scheduling medical and visa payment. Probably this is the price I have to pay now for not having patience.

Will wait closer to the day of medical and if not will call MOM to figure out what to do.

And with visa payment - don't know this info. Will have to search.

Well, it's hard to stay calm and patient after 5 months of waiting.

Are you still on vacation?

I've lost my calmness after I've heard this info from Yaroslav.

I'm on vacation untill next Saturday and this is the only thing now that somehow keeps my mind away.

I know it's easier said than done but try to relax and enjoy the rest of your vacation. There's not much you can do from there anyway.

Sending you a big hug and crossing fingers for you:)

Grrrrrrrrr   This is not cool!  I agree with the commenters, you have waited so patiently already, and another bump in the road!  Hope it resolves itself quickly!  We all want to see you across the finish line really soon.

..............

NVC actually does some additional checks - similar names and etc's are as much as a problem here, as was there.

The DS-160 payment is valid for a year.  After one year you have to submit a new DS-160

Medicals undergone are valid for 6 months.

I'm beginning to panic because mine has been sat at NVC for a week since i got my case number. I know I'm overthinking, it will probably go to 'in transit' tonight and all my panicking will be for nothing haha. I'd love to have a day where I'm not panicking

Congratulations to all of you who got married or further in your approval process. :D

We're on day 177 waiting for NOA2.  I just called Senator Feinstein's office this morning to ask if they've had a chance to look at my case, since it's been 2 weeks since I've faxed in the privacy release/other documents and I haven't heard anything from them.  They said they haven't started yet.  I've also submitted my privacy release to Senator Harris's office now.  No word yet.

I think right now with the DACA program in peril, the congressional offices are being flooded with requests, and our marriage visa is not urgent enough for them.

Anyway, don't mean to be a bummer for anyone.  If there's something you think I should give a try, let me know.  I'm pretty much out of ideas.

You are not alone awaiting for "in transit" status, our case stuck as well.

Keep fingers crossed that we both will see positive changes very soon.

Thank you so much for your support! Highly appreciate it.

And thank you so much for provided info re visa and medical. If I understand you correctly these rules are common for each country?

I haven't submit DS-160 yet cause in UA we cann't do that until embassy will contact to confirm they've got your case.
