They really have to wait outside. There's a few bench and you can also rent a chairbfor 15 pesos in a nearby store. Gosh business is really something there! Hahaha I started lining up at 4 am and my mama was with me but when i got inside the building i told her to just go to the hotel where we are staying. I dont want her to wait outside for long hours. We stayed in Casa Bocobo which is just near. I think Ann and her mama should also stay there.

Yep, that's where she made reservations,  We had same thought,  Just get her in the line, and then her mother go back to Hotel.

When I'm there in 4 weeks for interview, I have reservations at a hotel right on Roxas and it's a 5 minute walk to embassy - and we scheduled a later interview time, so a nice breakfast before, then a quiet stroll arm in arm (along a jeepney honking street) to interview should be a good recipe for a great interview :D  Well, that's my plan anyways :)

Your interview is 3 weeks from today!!!!!   I'm as excited for you as you are.

Oh that really sounds a good plan! Yes Luneta park is nearby. It's a really nice place to stroll arm in arm. They have museums there that have a lot of cool stuffs inside, you and Ann should check it too.

Yes it's really getting closer. Thank you. Im excited too. I cant wait to end this K1 process.

Finally Approved! 1 week shy of 6 months. Not sure if it was my service request ticket submitted last Friday or not that did the trick or the fact that I was almost at 6 months.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

It's an awesome feeling, isn't it?  We have the same timeline - 13 March was sooooo very long ago.  Happy for you!  After NVC, it's all at your pace, so go FAST :D

Start calling NVC tomorrow, every few days to get your NVC number.  You need that.

When you get your NVC number, use this website to track it.......

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Be sure to click on 'PORTALS' above to get to your specific embassy information.  After NVC, everything is Embassy specific.

.........................................

Also, it's so nice to see another approval here. We have so many left behind -

It is odd that I filed the service request ticket Thursday 8/1 and the first Colombia approval went through in a month Friday 8/2 and now me today 8/5. I really feel the service request dislodged the Colombia cases that were stuck.

Question for the Canadians who have been to the consulate - if I have a rolling laptop bag with me, will I be able to take it in, or will they check it in for me, or can I just not bring it at all? @gob332 @PR&PR @calahjosh931 @eastcoastgroove

Sorry, I am not sure as I didn't see anyone with anything that big.  It definitely says no bags though on the door so I assume it would fall under that.  I am not even sure if they would check that.  They only have space for phones.  They would probably make you go to the Eatons Centre to put it in a locker.

I've had several VJ members tell me they used a printed screenshot of the CEAC site to show their NVC number......  I haven't received a thing from NVC or USEM - mailed or emailed.  Is this still the case? that we can use a screenshot? or are they requiring something different now at SLEC?

Yes, I call all that chatter FiliDrama....Another VJer called it chika chika LOL.....  It serves no purpose except to distract and confuse.  It is good advice to ignore it and stick to the plan.

From what i have read the screen shot will work....i was in such a hurry or she was i took a photo of the notice i had..i got my nvc notice about two weeks after the web site said it was ready.

She is in Casa Bocobo.....she said the breakfast buffet wasnt much good but the rooms where good for the price.
