Hello everyone!

Ok I saw that there might have been an effort to run a "scan script" for March.  I am more than capable of running and/or altering that script.  I just don't know much about it other than it exists.  If anybody can get it to me I can set it up to run automated on a regular basis and post its results somewhere public for us to see.  Maybe if I get motivated enough I bet I could just have it run constantly and self adapt for each new month.  Who knows, I'll have to see it.  I am betting that is doable too.  Anybody have it?

That's who will have no problem using screenshots to prove an ongoing relationship!:)

if anyone uses skype, you can go all the way back to the beginning with that. That's what I did. I just scrolled through and took screenshots here and there and sent in 20 of them lol But we met in May 2014 so it was really hard for me to do just 20

OK just need to vent real quick... (Thank god I'm not a January filer :D)! I'm finding it so comical and annoying that literally in less than a week I have been able to get a TEN YEAR tourist visa to my fiance's country. Previously I just obtained 1 month entry visa's for both visits, but needed to get a permanent one for future travels. My passport has been mailed to the 3rd party, handed over to the embassy for processing, reviewed by the embassy, and is now back on its way to be delivered to be by tomorrow. all within 5 days. Meanwhile, my fiance wanted to come visit but was told by multiple sources that we would just be wasting our money if he tried to apply for a tourist visa because there's a 99% chance he would've been denied.

Now here we are... engaged, madly in love and ready to start a family together, but no wait...you first have have to pay a large sum of money then wait over 3+ months just to get an approval on the first step of even getting an interview for the visa which may or may not then be approved depending on if your incredibly genuine, beautiful relationship looks good enough to a complete stranger! I totally understand the difference and get why, but man it still feels so frustrating! And it feels so unfair. :(

That's my vent for the day. Thank you for reading, anonymous whiners club. (L)

It's so comforting when the petitioners completely understand things not just from the beneficiaries side, but from the beneficiaries that come from the countries that are difficult to get visas from. Not saying the process is easier in terms of the mental/emotional stress for anyone but FACT is on top of what we all go through, those of us from many "third world" countries go through an extra bit of scrutiny especially at interview stage. Its hard for the petitioner and even harder for the beneficiaries in these cases.

Yeah, exactly. I think beneficiaries have it so much harder. They have to deal with the emotional stress on top of being the one subject to most of the scrutiny throughout the entire process. Trust me, I am beyond grateful to be a USC. But I have so many moments of frustration knowing that so many things are simply easy for me just because I am a USC. I didn't do a single thing to earn my citizenship, I was just lucky enough to have been born here. Me and my fiance almost didn't even go through this process because it made me so angry that he even has to go through all of this. I was going to quit and re-locate there, but we want our kids to at least be born here to have citizenship so one day they can decide where they want to go in life. After 5-10 years we will go back to my fiance's hometown. :)

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

IMHO, it's always harder for the beneficiary, regardless of what country you are from. I mean, it's the beneficiary who has to go through a medical exam and interview. The costs are also higher than the initial fee the petitioner has to pay... Well, I say this because here the medical is 315€, plus the $265 of the visa fee, not to mention the expenses in trips and/or hotels to get that done.

In my case, I also did 90% of the job on getting the initial i-129F ready. So yeah, I love my fiance to pieces, but he's the relaxed kind and all things considered I feel this is being harder on me.

Yes I do agree it's hard on ALL beneficiaries and I sincerely feel at the USCIS level it's an even playing field for everyone but at the consulate level it isn't so if you look at/read people's experiences at the interview . It's quite common for a beneficiary from Nigeria, Morocco, India, my country, Afghanistan etc to be under more scrutiny at the interview/consulate level than a beneficiary coming from Norway, Switzerland, Finland. I am not blaming anyone just saying for All of US it's stressful and for some of us it is even more stressful because of where we come from.

Completely agree with you. Just having kind of a rant on how it's harder for me than my fiance :P... Generally speaking, harder for the beneficiary than the petitioner, assuming we are on equal ground regarding the missing the loved one/being apart part... And yes, specifically harder for some countries that are considered high visa fraud risk for whatever reason.

Hard process indeed! Best of lucks for you :)

Isn't it lowkey annoying sometimes. Like you don't want them to be stressed out because everyone stressing is not good for anyone but sometimes you just wanna shake them and say "how dare you remain so chill while I am here worrying? Come on, whine with me..."

I honestly don't know how/if I would be able to pack up my whole life and move to another country. My fiancee isn't rich, but she has a very good education, job and lives comfortably. Then she will come here and spend a period of time in which she won't be able to drive or work. Essentially she'll be trapped at home until I return home from work every day. It would drive me completely nuts. I try to put myself in her shoes and don't know how she can do it. I only hope and pray for the ability to make her feel comfortable, at home and help her get through the inevitable worries and homesickness. On the other hand, she loves to read, study, and do various arts and crafts. She's very much a home body in her own country, so I hope that helps here.
