We use attorney as well. :)

And she told us to wait until the letter will come. But what we can see now that it doesn't work that way. People get mail notification randomly.

Just an update, I did receive a letter from the NVC. Not sure exactly when it arrived as I stopped daily mail checks after NOA2. All it does is gives NVC case number and says they've forwarded the petition to the embassy and expect contact from them for the next steps. Between having the NVC number and the embassy website, you're already ready to go with more information than the NVC letter gives. Just need that tracker to say "Ready" to submit the DS160 and you can set your appointment.

This whole process is rather weird, isn't it?.

You fill out an optional form to be notified, and you think the option is if you send the form or not - come to find out the 'option' is actually for uscis to notify or not.

Almost everyone got a 'notify' when their file was received, but that's the only norm.

They break their website May 2nd so it doesn't work when queried,

they place fictitious information on their website concerning 'what they are working on',

they never notify you by text, or email but send you a letter,

they get grumpy with their customers and treat them poorly,

they withhold information from customers on the phone then that day a letter is in the mailbox.

Some people get a letter from NVC, some an email, some both, some nothing,

Sometimes they notify an attorney, sometimes both the petitioner and attorney,

Nothing is standard, except always capricious.

I wonder if or when I'll get anything from NVC???

Hello all march filers, hope you don't mind me commenting on here just wondering anyone that received RFE how long did it take you to get your Noa2? Or are you all still waiting? Just trying to get an estimate/ avg of whether I'll be waiting one month or three!

Hope you're all doing good!

I saw your post got missed, sorry this reply took longer than usual.  You are always welcome to post on any thread applicable to your question. The March filers thread is just as good a place to post as any.

I wasn't RFEd (thot I would but didn't happen) but I can talk about what I have seen.......

Usually when you adjust your timeline to show an RFE, it adds 30 days to expected NOA2.  That used to be average, until June.  Since June, uscis seemed to slow down dramatically.  Some NOA2's come 2 weeks after RFE, some 2 months.  Seems now I see it being closer to 5 or 6 weeks.  Funny thing about averages, is that nothing in immigration is average.  Good luck to you, hang in there :D

Interestingly, I was talking to my friend whose (Russian) wife introduced me to my fiancee and he says he was offered to continue the application/interview process for a position with the USCIS as a system admin that he applied for many months ago. In the mean time, he's made a business acquisition that has been doing quite well, so he told them they're still within normal processing times and should just wait for an answer. I wish there was something of value that I could capriciously withhold from them... I almost wonder if he applied just hoping they would call him and he could tell them no because he was really frustrated when he went through the process himself.

Well thats where it gets even more bizarre!... i got a letter from nvc but she never has...i recieved the emails from the consulate that can be used in place of the nvc letter.. i had to forward them both to her so she could print them for her requirements for her physical.  She still has not recieved them which made us nervouse about her getting the support documents photos phone records etc etc...but it got there in 3 days time fedx...and yes thats ohio to Cebu Philippines ..

Its also wierd the two week nvc thing...takes two weeks average ours was about two weeks i called they recieved said call in two weeks..i called next day..got our number...5 days later it showed rec'd manila...but yet there was another couple on the forums that they still didnt showed recieved after 4 weeks...yea average is...based on whos desk you get and if they are a go getter or a get it later..sorry just a opinion...the only law of average has been with the process is...law of bingo eventually they pull your number out of the tumbler.... oh but on a positive note most everyone here has been absolutely marvelous support...and everyone understands everyone elses aggravation, excitement,  and stress and feelings of completion at every step. I just wish we could all meet for starbucks or pizza and all laugh about it when its all finished...

This is exactly what I said a trip to the Poconos. Seems fun or where ever. We should meet! Be each other's support/cheerleader/possible friends. We all know what each other is going through and what it's like to find love half way across the world.

Hey thanks so much for your reply! That's super helpful!

Eek that's okay I knew it had slowed down so I was worried it was going to be more like 3 months lol

think I'm going to book flights from October - November. Then hopefully Noa2  will be back & I can come home & wait for the rest of the process.
