:) We did do a thing! We did wait 4 days to file LOL! We really did not slow down after NOA2 and it is for sure time to relax.  Well at least Luis gets 3-4 months, until EAD is ready :jest:

Lol, you two are always "doing things". Seriously, take a break now :D

That will be good.  Having all the museums in Washington DC to explore has definitely helped him some

I'd LOVE to have 2 mos to explore DC.  When Ann gets here, it's one of our priority destinations to go see, but we'll only have about 5 days (my shifts are hospital based and extended days off are just not possible).  So, tell Luis I'm envious of his ability to see all of DC - What a gift, actually.

So GLAD this worked out and visa is in hand.

This is a good example how even though the beneficiary does everything right, the consul can have problems, like fingerprints and computer glitches, lost documents, missed copies, etc.

They really do mean it when they say not to quit your day job until visa is in hand :D

I haven't been able to keep up with the forum ! congrats to anyone who got their noa2's or interview days and approvals!

so just a story for fun :)

I was super frustrated today! i finally got around to booking a very nice downtown Montreal condo through AIR B N B. I am staying for a week and a few days (12 nights) because 1 week to get the medical done and go to the interview.. and a few days extra so thay my fiance can come visit canada (montreal) while we have canadian thanks giving :)

The sad part about this is the condo cost me $2500 !!! for the 12 nights which isnt too bad ! butt... the price said 150 or so per night. (they tack on $75.00 cleaning fee, about $200 something service charge and than like 15 % taxes.). so that being said. i was glad it was all booked and than TODAY i get a cancellation email from AIR B N B .. i was frantic! what happened! ?>>

Don't get me wrong i have stayed in high end luxury condos with air b n b and loved them! and i recommend them !!! So i phoned AIR B N B as soon as i got the email... it was appalling that their contact# was not on their website! so i found it on google . I Guess the host that was listing the condo had some "issues with his account" i asked what do you mean by issues? apparently he had a security ticket on his account and it was immediately shut down after i booked!? i was so disappointed. so i guess they will refund me my money but it takes 5 TO 15 days!!!!!! can you believe that!

For those of your booking with AIR B N B  - MAKE SURE that the host has a ton of reviews! you do not want to be out this kind of money!

I am blessed i could afford to book again without those funds.. but for those of you that can not! please be careful.

I did end up booking another unit in the same buildling as i wanted a mini vacation and it has a pool, gym, close to everything. so it all worked out.

Happy Friday!!!

Happy Friday!!!

I never book them unless they have tons of reviews and gee you are going for high end. I could never afford that. Mum and I are looking at staying in ones that are 50-100 a night but we are only staying a maximum of 7 days. Yes they have extra fees usually and yes 15 percent tax in Quebec. Its 13 percent tax in manitoba so taxes don't shock me.

Hopefully you get it sorted soon. Sounds like a good way to spend Canadian Thanksgiving.

No wonder everything is slowing up. They are planning on moving everything to a new headquarters and shutting all the other places down. :o we might be glad we are through the first part. Now I understand why everything was moving to CSC. :o

Does this mean things will be even slower now for those still waiting for NOA2? :o :(

I enlisted help from the ombudsman and the response I got today via email from their inquiry was "within normal processing time", we are closing the case....Mine was received Feb 21st.....I got on the horn cause my case was put on processing hold on July 25th due to pending security checks...and like the email I sent back in response and the call I made to the nice on duty dude....this generic message doesn't apply to a case placed on processing hold.....tell me its cleared or something....I mean I guess if you file with them now ...since it takes 45 business days you will probably be out of the processing time...see that was my thought too....but them darn fools keep screwing around with the dates and keeping us from our rights of due process....jerks...so I sit and wait....and cry....and lose hope....it will be a miracle if I make it thru this emotionally intact....

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's so, so awful, my heart goes out to you <3
