Question for everyone with NOA2s:

Did you guys get approval through physical mail *only*?

I ask because I've signed up for every kind of electronic notification with USCIS and check the case tracker online religiously.  Do any of their notifications or trackers actually work?

They work somehow but very randomly. You never know how it will be in your case.

We've found out that our case was approved by updating application on the phone. And by that time the status was updated on the web-site well.

Three more days later we've got physical mail. Though noa 2 date printed in it was one work day earlier that showed in application and on web-site.

Hope it helps.

I am worried now because it seems that Abu Dhabi USEM sends out packet 3 maximum of 3 months. There were a few filers who got their case READY since june and until now they still did not receive any feedback from the embassy.

contact embassy, give explanation of your contract length and how you need to leave country very soon, request expediting.  Give them all your contact info and hope they get back to you.

Yeah this is great advice!  That's mainly what I said when I applied for the help of my Senator -- I showed my correspondence with the Pelosi office, where the dates USCIS gave them were completely wrong and also the processing times went backwards.  That there seems to be no accountability.

I could try again with ombudsman in a week or two.

Hey im in the same boat as you waiting from march. Did the ombudsman mention why the processing times are as of june 30th which is 2 months old? Did you receive an explanation why they are using 2 months old information to excuse looking at our cases? Also the change from January 1st to February 15 to January back to February 1 was ridiculous. Did they explain either of these 2 things to you?

WELL!  I got a day off today!  Working 6 straight 12 hr shifts in a row - today is a free day to do whatever.

While I was sleeping last night, Ann got our USEM interview appt setup, she also reported only needing to acquire one last document and she is ready for interview.

We chose Oct 10 interview date so I can fly over and go to interview with her, she's doing Medical by herself)

So while Ann slept (Philippines is 12 hr time difference) I booked my flights for interview :D

then, to One Up on her, I booked hotel on Roxas Avenue 5 minute walk from the embassy!!!

Yeah, I'm that good!

Yay! It seems like you two have a nice work plan set up there

Must feel great not having to depend on your Embassy to start moving :pop::P

yeah, USEM is like - Self Service

Just go fetch and show up :D   I'm loving life now!!!!!   Tonight is Ohio State Football!!!  I actually can relax now and enjoy myself a little while I wait 34 days to fly.

Side note, yesterday, I was considering buying Ann's return ticket, but since then - I got a little bit more cautious and we'll book that after interview :)

So about your embassy, can you 'nudge' them? kinda hint you are ready and get PKT3 and 4???

Today a post said DBX has a 3 month wait for PKT3 - wow!

That's another nice thing, having a real countdown where you know when day D will be, not just USCIS/NVC limbo :D

And yep, I already 'nudged' my Embassy for packet 3 yesterday, but chances are I did it five minutes after they got the case from NVC, so way too soon :P I'm very politely trying tomorrow again, before the long weekend, but usually it takes at least one week... And not packet 4 until I mail them all my docs and they review them  You have to love the waiting

haha None of these things were explained, no.

If it wasn't for the fact that soooo many cases from April have already been adjudicated, I wouldn't mind the date shifts so much.  But it's this image I have that our cases are sitting in a huge pile on someone's desk who is out on vacation or is on sick leave or extremely overworked or slow, meanwhile all the superstar caseworkers are about to look into the May submissions pile that drives me crazy.  They should really be looking at the older cases before dipping so far ahead into the new.

I am hoping someone at Senator Feinstein's office has more to tell us, but I'm not holding out much hope now.  I haven't even received any notification that they're even looking at my case yet and I sent it early last week.  In Nancy Pelosi's defense, her office responded very, very promptly.

7:30pm eastern time & Close of business on 31 August - all the mail has been run, the USPS informed delivery emails reviewed, broken case trackers checked and re-checked and another day has passed with no results posted again today just like yesterday, and very few the days weeks and month before.  That 1st sentence in this paragraph ran on and on, like waiting for this process to end.  Synonymous.  Tomorrow is a milestone day.  1 September.  This is important because it is officially 6 months after the first March Filer with a gleam in their eye and hope and optimism in their heart mailed their 129f and expected a 60 to maybe 90 day adjudication.  When you remember those days, you also will reflect on the callouses you now have and maybe a lack of joy as your joint lives are in the balance of uscis with uncertainty in your mind.  This process is not for the weak, it's for the strong.  Only the strong survive it.  I will definitively state.... what we are all thinking - that this process is so unfair, and frankly - unacceptable.  Regardless, Continue on, don't lose your joy, wait and watch, because we need to get everyone across the finish line.  So, If you are still waiting, know that I think that just your presence here shows me your strength, resolve, and commitment.

Here are some March and February filers that are still waiting....

@Liudmyla, @GInAustin @JulzGhen @Lovemycroatianman @Ste&Sel @PB&FM @SimplyBlessed @FutureMrsBennett @AfricanQ @falcao79 @annachka @AJ&Milena @Nurse_mitch08 @Utahoutlaww    Are the ones I know, who else is there?   I know I am missing some.  Chime in so I can add up

Hopefully we all get our approval next month. Ill be going to Ghana in october to visit my fiance for the second time. At least i have something to be excited abt while i wait

what does it mean ? you have to wait probably 3 months to get pack 3 or 4? i don't know how is it working for abu dhabi, but i know someone that went thru AD embassy and her case went pretty fast.  i used to live in dubai for  over 4 yrs and I was about to ask my interview to be there but eventually i changed my mind , planning ahead to resign and do the interview in my home country ...

You know, that's probably the best thing for the whole situation.  I've seen others turn off and take off and the approval comes when they do.  Happened to me, I went to go help family and got that Golden Letter when I was gone.  I hope that letter comes soon and you get to hand deliver it!!!! :D
