Just schedule her interview on Monday if possible.. If she's lucky to be landed in a fair consulate, her status might change next day.. And then if the status changes to ISSUED next day, you guys should wait another 2 days again because that's where they're gonna forward the visa packet to 2GO in MOA.. In my case, I landed to a very sweet consul but I was in Application Received for 2 days after my interview, then it just changed to AP, but due to a long weekend, they just issued it last Tuesday.. and now I'm still waiting for the visa. ;) hopefully they will forward it today so I can have it by Saturday.

If she happens to land in a consulate that isn't fair enough, THE ASIAN consulate , then maybe it'll take longer.. my other friend had her interview last week, Thursday, until now her status is still Application Received..

maybe 10-14 is good :)) you can do it.

Thanks Yza!  That's a help!!  We're trying to get things all wrapped up as nice as possible.

Appreciate your info, that helps a lot!  Wow, some consuls are different than others, hope we get a very cordial consul :)

We have our visa interview paid for now, we got to the bank yesterday.  Can't book an appt yet, wonder if payment at bank hasn't posted yet? or if it's because we are not READY at ceac?  Either way, eventually one or the other will go thru.

CENOMAR and another copy of BC today, and hopefully NBI also - if time today

Tomorrow is another holiday in PH????????    What's the deal with that? LOL Holidays are like weekends in the P I's   Every week I find a new one.

How's your flight coming?  When do you fly?  How's your Chicago wedding plans coming together?  I bet there are some great places for a wedding in Chicago.

Hi guys, I am just so happy that we finally got our approval notice last week. I can't explain the emotion I was feeling that time when I first read the email from uscis. It felt surreal. I felt like I was floating in the air with the clouds for days haha until it finally sinked in to my system and yes its really happening. It was exactly 151 days. For the past few days Ive been waking up with a big smile on my face and still am up to now. I just wanted to say to those who are still waiting to hang in there, your approvals are on their way to your mailbox. Just dont give up and keep praying. Prayer was the only option I had during those times I felt like giving up. You can never go wrong with prayer. We were really expecting for an rfe, we missed 3 check boxes (one question there asks about IMB) so i was really so worried it would affect our approval since IMB is a big deal for them. The other problem was the 2x2 photos we submitted. We gave them a regular passport size photo, I am not sure if that passed their photo specifications, I just prayed hard to our beloved mother and Lord Jesus and believed that they will grant my prayers. And then baaaam! We just got approved! Unbelievable but yas nothing is really impossible with Christ! So just hang in there and keep your faith in him. Pray and pray cos thats the only thing we could do right now. God will NEVER desert you. You may feel he is far away but the reality is that he is always close to those who love him. 🙏🏻

well done for all this patience and belief in God!! i am glad I see people that can speak like you do!

Oh it does go away fast he is too cute for me to stay mad at him long. I the beneficiary did most of the calling. It is easy for me to call as we have free long distance to the US after 6pm on our landline phone plan. Last night the guy said to me oh they are currently working on your case call back tomorrow and you will have your case number for sure but because I worked late tonight my fiance the petitioner called. :D Once I straightened him out on the proper way to call it was all good. Thanks I am super excited to be moving onto the next step. :) Hopefully I will be moving the last weekend in October or the first weekend in November. *crosses fingers*

Today, I figured out why so many people have trouble finding their nvc case, so be sure to bookmark this site.  If you try to google for it, you could get the site that has been given people trouble.

Congratulations :D  So glad to see you and Chris stepping on the gas now!!!!

I'll be honest with you. If you are a gambler then go and ahead and pick any date you want. I'm betting that you will be changing your plans and airfare. I have seen 1 day, 14 days and up to 6 months before someone has gotten their visa after approval. I wouldn't risk it but it's not my money. Here is the official word and it comes from the Embassy Letter, about 3/4 the way down.

LOL   How'd you know? :D My thoughts are I can see some tickets in the 300 something range.   That's just a 'home run' for me, a small side job with a few hours and great pay - I find one of them once a week or each 2 weeks so I can earn that much fairly easily so with little effort, I'd be willing to risk a little - with an educated / guesstimated ........... Guess :D

The tickets going to 5 and 6 hundred range - well that's a little different story so I would have to be sure before I was to do that.  I'm just fishing right now - contemplating what to do.

Your reply, well that's right in the wheelhouse of sound advice, I don't want to get 'pot committed', but I don't mind paying a little to 'see their cards' and wonder what would be a good 'acceptable risk'.   heh heh heh, We are so anxious after waiting 2 months in preparation of the 129F and then over 5 months after a filing.

Glad you chipped in here..... Love to read your posts.

Happy days are here   Congratulations especially for having patience. Now it's your turn to get this moving. I take it you are going to interview in Manila at USEM? If so, just wait 10 business days and call NVC for your MNL#.  Once you get it then you can pay your interview fee, complete your DS-160, and schedule your interview date. Next, is medical and then I suggest getting CFO out of the way. Seems these days they are pretty book and I hate to see you wait for an appointment with them.  Here are some links and information for the processing through USEM.

Join us in the Sub-forum for the Philippines where any direct question can be answered for what happens at USEM etc.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Here is the link for the K1 Embassy Letter where everything that you need to prepare is listed. Use it as a checklist.

Calling NVC:

First, don't begin calling for 10 business days after you get your text message (NOA2). Second, you will need the Petitioner's and Beneficiaries full name and date of birth.

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

When you have your case number, enter it here  https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

Here is a great website by Hank for step by step guide for processing through the Philippines. It's a tool that will help you to navigate everything in the Embassy letter so you won't get an RFE or delayed.

Wow! Thank you so much for this. This would help big time! I apprecieate it so much. Im going to join the forum cos I definitely need some guidance in regards to my K1 visa requirements etc. ☺️ thank you thank you dear! 🎉🎊🎉🎊

Rolling just as fast as we can.  She is out picking up extra BC's today.

Here's my best advice, but be SURE to look over the links Greenbaum sent you on the previous page, it really is good info that will help you go fast thru this process....

Before you get NVC number, get your CFO scheduled online, Get your CENOMAR, and NBI.  Get 3 certified birth certificates in hand.  If your birth certificate has been corrected, get everything in AKA names also.

When you get your NVC number, get your DS160 completed, upload a digital passport pic, and submit.  Get a payment coupon and pay bank $275 (exchange rate is 52 at bank)

Schedule your interview and in the meantime keep checking your documents.

Links for this are on Hanks site in Greenbaums post....      Good Luck!  Well see that Sept date!
