I-129F March 2017 Filers

I've got an update! My fiancé got a text & email from USCIS today (March 17th)! When I checked on the egov online status using the receipt number, it says "On March 13, 2017, we received your Form I-129F..." and in the email it says it'll take 7-10 working days to receive the official Receipt Notice (I guess that's the NOA1 hardcopy?)

I've updated my timeline now but just to make sure my day count is right, should I put the receipt day to be March 13 (according to what USCIS said) or 17 (the date we actually only heard from them via text & email)

Thanks!!

We were thrilled when we got our NOA1 because we know we will now have a shot of getting approved (or rejected)! But of course we are staying positive :D

I know right? But hey, you're from NZ and it's not considered a high fraud country so I think odds are in your favour :D

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm actually a Vietnam citizen (holding a VN passport), but a permanent resident by visa status in NZ (I'm working and living here).

If that's the case, don't forget to be prepared to get police certificate from both Vietnam and NZ for the K-1 stage :)

Cool! That site is great especially when you're waiting to see if you've got NOA2 a few months down the road. Now we all can just wait together

Thanks :) I'll have to get one from the UK too because I used to live there during high school  I had to do all VN, UK and NZ when I was applying for my residency in NZ previously. However, I wonder if the police certificates will have to date within 3-6 months from the interview date (as I currently have the VN and UK ones done back in 2015 for my residency in NZ)..given I haven't lived in the other 2 countries.

I don't know if this is the right thread or if I should create a new thread >< as I don't want to sidetrack this thread with my questions!! Sorry I'm still new at posting here..

I am not completely sure. But with the Malaysian police certificate, the certificate itself is only valid for 12 months. I got one back in February 2016 so it's definitely expired now and I'll have to apply for a fresh new one prior to my K-1 interview (if our I-129F is approved). Check your VN and UK ones to see if the certificates state any expiry dates. On the other hand, if it's not difficult to re-apply for new ones, I'd suggest that you get them. That way you don't have to wonder if they'd be accepted or cause a potential delay.
