My flight will be about 400 return. Mum is coming with me and we will be staying for 6 nights likely 7 at the most but we are going to book an airbnb if we can to cut costs. My Mum is paying for the airbnb and food as a gift to me since I need so much money for everything. :) There is a panel physician in Surrey, BC but lol that is not an option for me either.  They really need one for the mid canada people but that will never happen. LOL

That's nice of her to do!

I used to live in Montreal, and I truly miss it. I get to go back and visit some friends and family as I haven't returned in like 5 years :) 6-7 days is a good amount of time to spend there.

I'm so sorry and shocked to hear this, really.

Maybe you both just need a time to calm and take a new look at all the way you did alreday. Cause it means a lot!!!

It is very tough period for everyone and sometimes emotions prevail.

I do hope everything can work out for you too! Wish you all the best!

Thank you so much. It means a lot. I agree. Sometimes when stress and emotions are high, it's very easy to see all of the negative and not be able to see all of the good.

Good luck to you and your fiancee! Hopefully the embassy receives your petition within the next couple days and the rest of the process goes smooth and easy!

Yeah you're right glad that our files weren't lost.

My fiancé already received what was our rfe all about. It said like this. Since we met in okcupid.

"That my fiancé need to submit a copy of the signed written consent Form that the international marriage broker (okcupid) obtained from the beneficiary, authorizing the release of her personal contact Information to him"
Because uscis told so that okcupid considered as international marriage broker as it is a business that charges fees for providing dating matrimonial, matchmaking services or social referrals between United States citizens and foreign nationals."

Wow, that's nuts.  I never would have thought of okcupid as a marriage broker   I don't blame you for not thinking of getting a letter like that..

:D I bet that was a story at the hospital!  Actually a burst appendix is scary, the pain would be intense and the risk of infection!    I'm so glad it turned out well - What a story to tell for years!!

How are you doing with that? Being away from home that is... friends and family that you have known for a long time. My F is just now realizing (even though we talked about it a long time ago) that it is going to be difficult for him to leave that behind. I suggested to him that he stay there until the end of Oct just to give himself that bit of extra time with his "people"  hehe and to take that last month off from work to maximize his time for whatever he needs to do.

Back in May he had  purchased a one way plane ticket for Oct 25th for $280 dollars (super cheap!!!), but then returned it because he was worried that if he got approved sooner, he wouldn't be able to come until that date... and now look LOL it is what it is and I am ok with whatever he decides because I can only imagine how hard a move like that is.
EDIT: This was a conversation that we just had earlier today.

i am already kind of used to be away from home as I used to live in Dubai for over 4 years, I worked there as a cabin crew for an arab airline, so I am used to be everywhere and my mom is fine with that , she s just happy I am gonna be with the person I love even though I am even further from home now, over the ocean ... But the human being has this capability of adapting to changes and new places, we can change the routine and as long as there is a challenge and something new and better ahead, I think all the Fiance(e)s on this forum will find their motivation and slowly adapt. so your F , is a big boy , i am sure  he will get used and adapt quick

I had the same thought so I tried looking into it but I haven't been able to find anything on it yet :( getting a bit - correction very, annoyed with this process and super irritated with his now old company. But this does mean yours should be getting updated soon if not already!!

Hi! I've read same problem on Facebook group before.. Her fiancé happened to lose the job because the company he was working with scammed them.. She just explained it during the interview. The CO asked her how her fiancé will provide her needs when she gets to the US, She just said that her fiancé is very hardworking and is still looking for a job so he can provide for them. I guess you just need to convince the CO that your fiancé will find a job right away.. But I'm just sharing you what I've read.. things will be fine..
