ya I know.. :(  it just sucks the interview dates get pushed so far away when you wait and wait.. and its super stressful knowing others have been getting a reply the next day. Even people who submitted after me. so bizarre ..

Case Created: 11-Aug-2017
Case Last Updated:

28-Aug-2017    it didn't change again today.. so you think I would have got an email yesterday. hmm...

I wanted an October date when I was booking my interview. Sept 27th was the farthest out I could get.

Now its Oct 4th earliest? You may still be able to get that date if there are time-slots left!

Hi! I just read this. :D  yoi can just scan it to her, then she can print it. My fiancé was going to send his docs to me by courier but I told him to just scan or send the files to me. But during my interview, the consul didn't even asked for any of his documents! Even the form i-134. Just the official documents: NBI, cenomar, birth certificate and medical certificate and the MRv Slip..  they didn't even take a look at our photos 😭

Thanks for your advise.. Im gonna be sending her a package anyway so I am going to include all our paperwork just in case. She has not computer or printer access and has to go to town to get to a computer shop - So I am making it easier for her to just send everything to her.

We cant move forward otherwise because we are waitin to see if her friend is able to obtain her police clearance from Lebanon before we even make arrangements and or schedule interview.

Sucks we have everything but one document that could take 3-6 months if her friend cannot get.

Totally bummed and stressed we both are.

Thank you so much once again.

Mine first said ready on June 29 and I only finally got packet 4 on July 19 (had re-sent packet 3 on July 18th for the fifth time, which is what I think they finally responded to)

HOLY! are you serious?! june 29 to July 18 ? that is a while compared to others.. I really don't get their system! I hope that doesn't happen to me.

She is not going to need any of that as originals. You sending them to her will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 to $150. Everything can be scanned and emailed to her. Most of the documents, except for the employment, USEM already has that information from your I-129f submittal.  Everything that will be needed is contained in the Embassy Letter which I'll link below. You only need the items as outlined in this letter. Use it as a guide and a checklist to ensure she is ready. Her interview will last less than 5 minutes tops.

Also, use Hank's website for additional steps that will save you time and money.

I guess I'm in no rush I'm just nervous and want to book everything.  so that I have a better timeline.. especially with work as they know I'm going through this process..

This entire system is a mystery. Out of order approvals...delays in responses. Really aggravating.

1000% know how you feel.

Now that my interview is booked, I told my manager only that 'if everything goes according to the plan (I get my visa timely) I will be leaving in October'

Almost 2 months heads up :)

Ya I am suppose to do the same (2 months) to be courteous.. however, I am worried that after the interview I don't get my passport back for a while.. that would really bite.   so I don't know when to tell them? I was thinking November..  but we will see.. I just told them we will recap once I have a interview date. a part of me feels like I should have kept it a secret and just did the 2 weeks notice thing.. but that would not have been good. lol

Yeah I know, its also a concern of mine. I am interviewing people for my replacement now meanwhile I'm sitting there like.....soooo what happens if I don't get it on time and I need to stay at work longer than I stated.. lol ....Which is why I am giving it 3-4 weeks after the interview for my moving timeline. I vaguely told work, estimated date is Oct 20.

But we must be positive. I haven't seen it take more than a week or two to receive , unless you are missing something / put in AP for some reason.. Also, Canada is low fraud so I don't foresee many issues TBH.

True !! I hope to be there before the end of the year. I was aiming for November. My fiancé was like we should get married on the day we got engaged (December 24- Christmas eve) I'm like yaaa that would be cool but I don't want to wait ! lol because all of the paperwork after we get married takes forever too so the sooner the better *we are just getting married at the courts on paper than maybe doing a wedding a year or so later.

Then sorry, I don't know.

Case # is the three letters for your Embassy (LND) plus 10 numbers: 2017 for the year, 736 if the case was created 24th August (735 for the 23rd) and three more numbers for the order in which your case was created among the ones for your same country... (001 if it was the first, 010 if it was the tenth and so on). Maybe that can help you figure out if there's something wrong... But I guess sometimes the website doesn't work that well either... Other people reported problems like that before.

Yes I have all that. I remember someone explaining that on the thread a while back. I just think there has not been any update on my case

Oh yeah, AOS is not going to be fun lol. More dealing with USCIS.

After marriage, you also need to wait till you receive the physical copy of marriage certificate (~2weeks) to apply for AOS.. so it really is the sooner the better to get things going! We are going to City Hall / Justice of the Peace with his parents and my parents to get married, and then will have a reception later on down the road as well.
