Do we need to bring proof of payment of the original uscis i-129f fee aswell    or only the proof of payment for the interview - to the interview?

I will double check with my fiance tomorrow morning when she wakes (actually when I wake as she gets up at 3:30 am), but I am fairly certain she was asked to provide proof of payment for the visa after scheduling the interview. I think she printed off the confirmation e-mail and provided that during the document check at the interview. I will let you know tomorrow morning (in the hopes that writing this out all now will remind me to ask in the morning :))

But they definitely did not ask for proof of payment for the I-29F

well, she fell asleep on Skype with the light on so I woke her up :D. Confirmed that the proof of payment was the first document the Montreal Consulate asked for. They did not ask for proof of payment for the I-29F.

Point of reference for anyone going through the Montreal Consulate.

8/16: Interview and Visa Approval

8/25: Notification from embassy that there was a glitch and fiance had to return to Montreal to be re-fingerprintered - no change in CEAC Status

8/26: Notification from Montreal that the glitch was resolved over the weekend. No need to come back in. CEAC Status changed to "Created"

8/26: CEAC Status changed to Administrative Processing

It would appear that our case wasn't touched between 8/16 and 8/25, but there were a number of updates on the "Case Last Updated Field" on CEAC between that time period. Hoping they took care of some of the processing during that time period and that the visa gets issued expeditiously. Though, we all know there's nothing expeditious about Montreal...

In other news, we got our invites out today and have heard back from a couple of officiants! Inching forward!

Also, I hate insomnia.

Luckily in our case, we were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. I spent a long time on the phone with her this evening discussing the details. We don't believe all hope is lost quite yet. It really felt good to just unload everything and get some feedback from someone that knows and understands both of us very well.

Best of luck! hoping the best for you.

Hi! Medical will be also on September. I have question once you registered online and printed the form. Do I need to call them to tell my preferred date of medical or just go there

Looks like another great Monday for lots of people!! Congratulations to all those who saw progress!!!:dance::dance:

I'd also like to thank everyone in this thread for all of their support, encouragement, advice, information and just being great people to share this arduous process with! Sadly, on Sunday, my fiancee broke off our engagement and we will not be continuing the process. I wish everyone luck, patience, blessings, and long, happy and loving marriages!

Oh my god. :(( I'm so sorry to hear this.. You were so close. Maybe you guys cn still fix it 😔

I know it has been asked million times and I did as well a research on this website , I couldn't find anywhere a clear answer with bullet points "you need this , this and this" . Maybe the precise German @TearsOfBabylon , since she had recently her interview can clarify with both documents for affidavit and the question 38 :D  Danke!

I precisely advise you to maybe ask @Alysia&Luis, since she is the USC and has filed the i-134. Honestly I didn't even really look at this stuff, since Scott has put everything together, and even if it hurt my German precision heart - I trusted him with his paperwork. :D

Oh noooo! :( I'm so sorry to hear that... especially since you had such a long wait! Hugs over to you! I hope for you that everything will turn out to the good, no matter which path you will follow. From what I could tell by reading you here for so long you're a very sweet person, so I wish you the best!

Oh my god my fiance just messaged me and we were approved! I was super nervous for the interview for some reason, so I spent like an hour just curled around my phone. It went super quick for him, he said literally maybe 20 minutes maximum between each spot. And no questions about my joint sponsor (was super worried) or really anything about us. Just glances through the paperwork and approved!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I was following you and am so happy to read that! :D:D:D

I didn't have to bring a proof of payment for the i-129f either.
They just want to have the proof of payment for the visa fee, which is - at least here - the confirmation page for the appointment with the barcodes on.
Because being able to schedule an appointment means you've paid.

A quick update.. After finding out that NVC had scanned our case over to the embassy on Friday, my F called the embassy this morning...errr tomorrow morning? that doesn't sound right either -they are 10 hours ahead- so, about 3 hours ago he called since he was going to bed when I found out and they do have our case! They told him that they would send him an email today with the instructions on what he needs to do. He just finished the DS160... some of those questions though... boy oh boy, like I had no idea!!!  lol Anyhow, once he gets the email he can pay the fee and then start scheduling everything! So, needless to say, I will be having DHL pick up my stuff tomorrow and it will be to him on Friday. I thought it definitely be best this route even more so since we are approaching Labor Day... did not want any hold ups or anything to get in the way.
Ok, so with that out of the way... I decided to check the ceac tracker because this morning it showed at NVC and now... it shows READY!!! I seriously can't believe how quickly things are happening!!! He could potentially have his interview next week since there is no wait time in Bucharest!

BUUUTTTT... hold up there... this is where things take a turn  lol I know I have told you guys this before... My F is a major procrastinator and still needs to get his police certificate, but I know that will take no time and JUST got the DS160 done (just showing how he procrastinates lol) soooo, he has not begun to take care of his belongings and is now stressing about that stuff and is worried that he needs more time to start taking care of things! lol So, after all this, he may not be coming as soon as he can because he is a procrastinator!!!  lol I mean I get why he did it (the way USCIS was being so slow, he thought he had more time... even though I warned him a long time ago to start preparing cuz you just never know!, but he didn't listen! =/) so, I think right now we are going to be aiming for his POE towards the end of the month like the 25th or 26th which I am ok with because at least we are in the know now and not in the dark anymore and at least have a date out there and it is before Dec and his birthday!

Oh, and @dkmfan85, I have been routing for you and your F (as we all have) and I really hope you both can work things out. I hope she sees how sweet you have been with her (she has to see it =)) and all that you have put into the relationship and your future with her and realizes that she can't live her life with you =). If you both pull through all THIS, you guys can pull through anything cuz this whole process is tough and stressful, but so worth it in the end. From your latest post, it kinda sounds like there is much hope and I think I can speak for the majority of us when I say, we have much hope for you both and a happy life together!
