You need a digital copy!

Just a heads up - get them to put it on a USB stick.. if they email it to you sometimes the email for example Hotmail or yahoo.com will shrink the size of the photo so when you upload it, it will not work! creates a lot of stress!

I had to pay $30 to get my digital photo where my passport photos were only $7.50! Canadian.

That being said my original photo I uploaded was not working! so I had to get it retaken - funny thing is when I went back they said "oh yes we were having troubles with our flash!" you think they would have known that. So make sure the flash is really good otherwise the quality of the photo wont pass the Ds160 page.

Thank you this is a big help!

Looks like another great Monday for lots of people!! Congratulations to all those who saw progress!!!:dance::dance:

I'd also like to thank everyone in this thread for all of their support, encouragement, advice, information and just being great people to share this arduous process with! Sadly, on Sunday, my fiancee broke off our engagement and we will not be continuing the process. I wish everyone luck, patience, blessings, and long, happy and loving marriages!

When you got your passport pics for submitting 129F - did they give you a digital one too?  If they know it's for US immigration, they usually do

Same pic from March is OK

If not, go back to picture place to see if they can scan yours, or just take a new one for uploading.  They should have given you a digital copy of it anyways so maybe this one will be free gratis???????

Same guidelines apply, 2x2, white background, no smiling HAHAHAHA

Unfortunately we never thought to ask them for it.. I think I'll just have him go take new ones! My attorney sucks. He didn't even tell us this.. he gave a short response after I asked and said "no new photos".

Ridiculous!

Thanks again!

Well, your lawyer is technically right. I'm using same than for the i129f for the DS160. I scanned it and resized it myself, and worked just fine.

Just taking new ones for the interview because it might be either to close or past the 6 months mark... So no sure they care, but playing it safe.

Thank you, it really means a lot to me. As they say, it takes two to tango, and my amazing partner has decided to leave the dance floor. I respect her decision, though it hurts me deeply, and wish her only happiness and success wherever her life may take her. :)

Striving to better, oft we mar what's well.

Great quote.

Don't be hasty to cancel the k1.  My advice would be to let it go to embassy and notify the embassy and uscis at the 4th month. Life is strange and circumstances have a way of changing.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

I won't. We had almost everything ready to go for the interview. She had just paid the visa fee (sent me a photo of the receipt), was working on the DS160, had just received all the documents from my end for her interview and some new luggage. Petition is valid until November I think. We'll see what happens.

Your phone battery is low.... 19%

just being a smart alec,,,,,,,,  seriously, this is good advice for any embassy - how many times do you have to prove you make the minimum amount required?  Tax transcripts are great, but so are w2's.

Oh, and @pajobra... I think you had mentioned something in regards to the electronic cases being due to filling out that form.. I had talked to someone at the NVC about this and it is actually about the different countries who receive the files/cases electronically and I think that is why and when they tell people that their case is being expedited... if I remember correctly, I think Canada is one of those countries.

BTW Thank you so much for telling me this. I hit number 5 this time and a very nice gentleman told me that in fact they received my case August 21st at NVC and that it is currently being processed. He said we should get a case number pretty quick and to try again tomorrow evening :) He said we don't mind your calls so call as many times as you want that is what we are here for. Very nice man.
