So after reading the issues with the tax transcripts which funnily enough my fiance was going to order today after work, do you think it would be ok to not take them and just take the following instead? Or is that just going to cause issues?

I guess at the end of the day they need to know that the petitioner filed their taxes and these documents don't say someone filed.. so I could only imagine its required.

When I was reading reviews for my consulate  (Canada) a lot of people said that the officer probably won't even look at those documents, just ask you questions about your relationship etc. They more so want to know that those documents ARE available than to look at them. Maybe read your consulate's reviews and see if they are heavily scrutinized?

I agree- but I couldn't imagine being asked for something and not having it ;/

Ok, soooo... I just got off the phone with the NVC and this is soo interesting!!!

She told me they scanned the case to the embassy on FRIDAY!!!  YAY!!! So, my F will be calling them tomorrow to see if they have it and when he can schedule the interview!
She also told me that the ceac.state.gov site is not always accurate. She could not tell me when the case will go by snail mail though.
So, glad I called to see what's up with it!

You need the 1040 along with the W2's, and that should be fine enough. The info from my Embassy, for example, specifically mentions those two things. Tax transcripts are usually advised on the forums because they are supposed to be more of a final thing, but it shouldn't be a problem.

I've just triple checked and it doesn't mention tax transcripts anywhere, I'm gunna get my fiance to attempt tonight but if he can't get them then we'll just have to go with what I mentioned and hope it's ok. London embassy seem quite relaxed and don't seem to check any paperwork so I should be good.

Filling out the DS-160. (Manila embassy)

It asks for a passport photo. Do we need new photos? The last one Paul took was mid March when we filed...

When you got your passport pics for submitting 129F - did they give you a digital one too?  If they know it's for US immigration, they usually do

Same pic from March is OK

If not, go back to picture place to see if they can scan yours, or just take a new one for uploading.  They should have given you a digital copy of it anyways so maybe this one will be free gratis???????

Same guidelines apply, 2x2, white background, no smiling HAHAHAHA

Photos are supposed to be no older than six months, so I'd say you are fine. Maybe get a new one for the interview, since it will probably be past the 6 months mark.

It's what I'm planning on doing :)

You need a digital copy!

Just a heads up - get them to put it on a USB stick.. if they email it to you sometimes the email for example Hotmail or yahoo.com will shrink the size of the photo so when you upload it, it will not work! creates a lot of stress!

I had to pay $30 to get my digital photo where my passport photos were only $7.50! Canadian.

That being said my original photo I uploaded was not working! so I had to get it retaken - funny thing is when I went back they said "oh yes we were having troubles with our flash!" you think they would have known that. So make sure the flash is really good otherwise the quality of the photo wont pass the Ds160 page.
