I'm really sorry. I gave you bad information. I could have sworn she had her long form birth certificate, but at the interview she brought her short form and they accepted it and did not say anything about the long form. We haven't received the her passport back yet with the visa so I suppose there is an outside chance they can still ask for it. I update this thread when we do get the visa.

ok thank you very much for getting back to me and letting me know!

good morning ,

this is for US citizen, please i need your advice :

- we can get the petitioner's W2 and 1040 from his accountant printed straight away but for the tax transcript ,we called today the 1800 number and it is just a conversation with the robot . we asked for the 2013, 2014, 2015 tax transcript and the robot says we will get in in 5-10 working days.

the thing is now that i think my case will be ready for the interview sooner so I don' t really want to wait all this time for the tax transcript . is there any other way to get this documents sooner? ( we tried as well to create an account on the www.irs.gov website but we cannot get through , we never receive the confirmation code to create an account on the phone number of the US citizen....so frustrating , we tried 3 times already)

any ideas...?

Oh thank goodness cause if that had happened to me I would have cried. I would have had to do another 400 dollar flight. :(

Oh, and @pajobra... I think you had mentioned something in regards to the electronic cases being due to filling out that form.. I had talked to someone at the NVC about this and it is actually about the different countries who receive the files/cases electronically and I think that is why and when they tell people that their case is being expedited... if I remember correctly, I think Canada is one of those countries.

Hmmm...see that is how I thought it worked too but others have given me doubts. lol I will call again this evening and maybe try 5 first just for the heck of it but you would think that either one could see if my file was there anyway?

So I was going to fly down to my fiance when I could but then I changed that yet again. We are afraid that what if we have a snowstorm here and not where the flight is and it goes. Its so expensive to pay for a refundable flight. Soooo now my sister is going to drive me to Rapid City, SD and Chris will come up to get me. Rapid City, SD is about halfway between him and I. This way I can also bring way more of my stuff. As well as if the weather looks crappy we can say ok lets try next weekend instead. LOL Also my sister said she would charge me 50 bucks only and I said no that is too little and I said 100. LOL She said fine and stuck her tongue out at me. LOL So its 8.5 hours to Rapid City and we would stay overnight and then the next day my sister would go back to Manitoba and I would head with Chris home. I love that word HOME!!! Cause home is with him.

Is the tax transcript necessary? I did not think it was a requirement.
