Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted anything. Just been keeping busy while I waited for our case number with NVC. We got it on the 3rd week, yesterday, 8/24. I got two emails from the NVC. The first said the NVC is forwarding the petition to the Sydney consulate, and to start the DS-160 application. The second email said Sydney approved my request for expedited processing, which is weird because I never applied for expedited processing so I'm not sure what happened there. I find it strange that I called midday yesterday to ask about my case number on if they have it yet, but they said they still did not have it and to call back in a week. They actually emailed me at 8:04 am with the case number yesterday, and I didn't check my email yesterday so I didn't know. I called them around almost 4pm and they didn't have anything. But I'm so happy now, it feels almost unreal.

Now, just getting my papers finished and having them sent through DHL. Everything is coming together, but nervousness and excitement is at an all time high.

I hope everyone has been getting those NOA2's. If you didn't, when you finally get it everything will go fast from what I can tell. Just stay in the moment and keep yourself busy, I know it's hard but that's how I managed to stay as sane as possible.

I wish you all the best!

Congrats on the NOA2 and super fast process with NVC. I was starting to wonder if I was gonna be unlucky when it hit week 3. But nope, saved! I was bummed out today, and I checked my email and seen they emailed me about 8 hours before I called yesterday. It just goes to show you that the information they tell is not always correct... I can't understand how an email was sent at 8am but at 4pm they had no case number and haven't received it yet. Just weird. I just wish I saved myself the hassle and checked my email before calling them. I guess that's what I get!

Looks like it's anybody's call. And were off to our race! Yay! :jest::dancing:

yeah, that line 5 or line 7 thing.  Today I called and was going to push 5 then last second hit 7 - If I woulda hit 5 - probably wouldn't of found out.

Anyways, good news all around.     Sure wish we could get so many of our stragglers across the NVC line though.

Haven't forgot you, really wish we could get everyone caught up :)

Dear March Whiners, I'm so happy to say that our case is at NVC! And we've just got our case number!

Very nice woman replied after 15 minutes of waiting. My fiancé told her she made our day, and she said that she is happy for us and it was her pleasure and wished us luck!

This is such a great end of this day and another two weeks of waiting line!

Just two happy campers! :jest:

Btw, thank you so much @Eric&Olya for detailed instruction on how to deal with NVC ;)

Whoohooo ... yeah ,they are so friendly at the NVC right ? Same here, lady I spoke to was so nice and professional ! Moves quickly after this, maybe a bit too quick :jest: you will be in Transit very soon.

Got my case number on the 8/16 from NVC. Embassy received 8/23. Medical scheduled for 5 Sept, interview for 15 Sept ... eek !

Fiance landing tomorrow morning at Heathrow, so all excited to see her tomorrow after 3 long months. We need to go for a nice night out in London to just celebrate and relax after all this stress.

Congrats !

What is all this packet business. I received absolutely nothing. Case went to Ready, I did my DS-160, scheduled my medical, completed readiness form, scheduled interview and paid the fee ?

I never sent anything in ? Am I missing something ?

Also, nice thing they do now in London at least, you are able to pick up your passport from selected location. One about 2 minutes walk from the office, so just chose that option, free of charge, instead of paying a courier.
