It is! And such an annoying wait for departure. Didn't expect my visa being so quick!

I've prepared the basics and saved them on my pendrive. Hopefully that will help me get stuff done quickly after getting married. 

 

Tentatively, I'm planning to fly out end of October and enter by November 1st or 2nd. New start baby!!!

My flight is booked for September 22nd!
Yet sooo far away (considering I have the visa in hand for 2 weeks), but on the other hand it's so close already.

@TearsOfBabylon - you would have killed us if you'd known how many stupid mistakes we made

First of all, Eric forgot half of the papers that he was supposed to bring - like his letter of intent. We had to print them out again before the interview. He never brought a copy of his RFE response. He was convinced that tax returns and W-2s were the same thing, and had only the latter.

We assembled all the documents nicely the day before, we double checked and triple checked the folders- only to find out before entering the embassy that I have no DS-160 confirmations, we left them at the apartment! I thought I would have a heart attack! Luckily, they let us in without them, and just scanned all our passports. Everyone at the embassy is extremely nice and helpful. USCIS staff should be sent to Kiev for an internship

Also, my son managed to get a really bad food poisoning - ambulance, hospital, 2 sleepless nights... Right between the medical and the TB skin test check. We ran away from the hospital on the day of Eric's arrival.

 

@Estibaliz - I am afraid now I've lost my reputation of calm and classy Absent-minded and freaking out would suit me better

I laughed out loud reading your story above  In the April filers list, one GB poster said they was firing their fiance from all paperwork, their RFE had a giant list of missing documents they have to send in.  Her post asked if she could bypass her F and send the documents to her father in law to submit .  I think his petition was just a bit more than a letter "Can I have a K1 Please?"  I can imagine how this put your Class and Calm to the test, but I'm sure you still maintained that

OUCH!!!!  I can imagine.  Actually, this is very common for K1 K2's.... Waiting for a good fare.  Sadly, this whole process is very expensive

I can imagine how that feels. I have not only double or fourplechecked my folder for the consulate... I think I've went through like 150 times. Then - although I knew it was in the handbag - I couldn't feel my passport in there when I was half way on the freeway. Sweat attack - rest spot stop - double check lol

All in all I didn't need ANYTHING at the consulate, besides from my passport and the appointment confirm. But..... haha
Next thing to freak out about if I don't feel it in the handbag right away will be my envelope for CBP - I know already, haha!

Scott made fun of me already, because I've put the envelope and the passport in 2 seperate ziplock bags, in case a flood comes. On third floor. In Bavaria.

Hold on!  Did you securely fasten a rope to the bags and place an anchor on them?  They could float away, in 2 separate directions

I just completed my DS-160. I used Firefox as they recommend, and got to fill in all the sections (current employment, previous employments and education).

I'm currently unemployed, so I wonder if that might be what determines whether you are asked about your previous jobs or not. Previous jobs should cover the last 5 years, so I'm thinking maybe if you've been working over 5 years at your current job, then they skip it. Or always skip it if you are working now?

Also they only let you list two previous jobs there, which is clearly insufficient often, but oh well.

Yeah, although I backed off a little, because it's not so easy to be all excited and funny and stuff when there's such a bad spirit from time to time (understandable of course!!!), but I can't go away.

Called NVC today, 0700 number, hit 7 - Got a nice guy that answered right away after a few rings.  He punched in my WAC# and then asked me for my Fiancee's name   YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

So, since I'm Philippines, he gave me my MNL# and Invoice Number (they typed in the DOB's without any mistakes @Yzabelle  YAAAAY!)

 

Soooooooo, here's my question, What is website I can enter the NVC number they gave me to see when it is sent to Embassy?

Also, PH Filers...... Hints and tips please, when this hits the Embassy, I want to go full throttle ahead
