Well someone on the NVC line specifically told me if I filed the G-1145 in my original package than I am considered an electronic file. And I was in the electronic file system at NVC.

So I don't know?

This whole process is messy so I wouldn't be surprised if they are wrong.. but it looks like things are being sent electronically to me (not the NOA2) but the NVC notification was.

We filled out the G-1145 and received e-nail notification from NVC, too.

Also, if you don't see your best answer, search key words from your RFE

Hello Canadians, at the interview did you need a long-form birth certificate? The one I have is just card-size and quite worn. I am not sure if I should request a new one which we do have to pay for. @gob332 @eastcoastgroove @calahjosh931 @PR&PR

I'm really sorry. I gave you bad information. I could have sworn she had her long form birth certificate, but at the interview she brought her short form and they accepted it and did not say anything about the long form. We haven't received the her passport back yet with the visa so I suppose there is an outside chance they can still ask for it. I update this thread when we do get the visa.

The G-1145 question is easy. Right at the top of the form:

Use this form to request an electronic notification (e-Notification) when U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services accepts your
immigration application. This service is available for applications filed at a USCIS Lockbox facility.

The only e-mail I've ever received throughout the process thus far has been from the Ukrainian embassy. I only received a text and hard copy for NOA1.

Question for all who have submitted the DS160 and especially those who have already had their interview: When filling out your DS160, were you asked about: 1.Previous employment after filling out current employment info. 2.Education. 3.Neither.

I wish there were a way to create a poll.  Your participation in the survey is greatly appreciated!!

So far I have three for current employment only, which matches the three attempts I made last night to do the DS160 and the first attempt minus the problem areas that were getting erased. I also posted this question in the K-1 Process and Procedures sub forum. Thus far it seems that what we saw in the first attempt was a fluke and not the norm. Interesting.

So using the tracking number I saw my case left NVC on the 18th of this month (read in transit)... I just received the hard copy letter from NVC dated the 21st of August. Does anyone know how long it usually Take for the embassy to receive your petition by snail mail? I'm trying to be patient as always 😂

We still dont have our noa2 yet and we're on our 151 days waiting 😭

Hang in there - I know how hard it is to do, but the good news is you are in the 150 club, and I believe those are problematic for uscis - they need you approved so they can keep their 150 day average.

I still recommend calling nvc 2x a week and talking to Tier 2 - (unless you talk to tier 2 it doesn't help)

Good luck
