Does anyone have an attorney that they feel is slowing them down??? My case was set to "ready" 2 days ago now and he is just now saying he will get to my DS160 and NOT to schedule the interview yet?!?! Are you kidding me? I'm so beyond frustrated. I called the Manila embassy yesterday and they told me the next avail date was Oct 2nd! He said we need to wait to schedule until we have everything. I am upset. This is ridic. If we wait... the interview dates are gonna fricken go out to November. He kept saying "the embassy doesn't even have the case yet" and I said, "umm, actually they do and I have the case number and was advised ok to schedule interview by the embassy".

Im just venting here and I don't want to rush things and have it wrong but this is ridiculous. I could do it all myself. I even emailed him the screenshot showing the case was "ready"... ugh man I tell ya guys, this is killing me..

My fiancé (the petitioner) received an email... but I called and got my case # the day before he got the email. We were an electronic file. No Hard letter saying NVC got our case. (from my understanding we are suppose to receive something in the mail with packet 3.. but packet 3 is also online so I'm sure the letter is coming.. just takes some time).. ill use the online system prior to the mail anyway.

So I feel i should let you know that I stole your profile picture and used it on your reception invitations :D Hope this is okay!

You're welcome! If they try and say you are within normal processing times, show them the case tracker, and that the USCIS information is not accurate... maybe they will accept that.

Their form errored out for me , even after several tries, so I had to fill out the pdf form and scan it in to email.  Hopefully they get back to me.  Thanks again for the tip!

You might want to try your representative instead.

There are people in these offices that can do something, it's just finding them can be a chore. It tooks me several tries just to get the voicemail of the guy KosmicBlues found in my state, but once I got him he got things done and clearly wasn't just parroting USCIS stuff back.

Well, Nancy Pelosi is actually my representative, so this was someone from her office just quoting me USCIS processing times.

I'm going to try more offices and maybe try to put together a medical hardship case.. it's definitely caused me some intense stress.

Theoretical post: Imagine you filled out the DS 160 for the first time, completely, submitted it and and had no idea there are sections of the DS 160 that weren't "unlocked" when you filled it out. Are you responsible for that information not being on the form?

Absolutely. In fact I had this very conversation today. They don't want me to call the NVC to get the case # and won't file the DS160 until they get the formal notice from NVC.

They also took almost two months to file the 129F after we supplied all the information for it.

As I said last time, don't use a lawyer, kids. We're committed now, but had we known, there's no way in hell we'd have used one.

Was there a form you filled out that had fields locked?

Hi! Actually you can do it by yourself. No need for an attorney. As long as you have all your requirements and done with your medical exam and DS160. You're all set! Go ahead and proceed now. Time is running.

Nope. Here's the backstory: As soon as I got the NOA2, I started filling out the DS 160 because my fiancee was super busy with work and a course she was taking, and I wanted to save her some time and headache. Some of the information was outdated, and I knew it would need to be edited and updated. When we later went in to update the information and correct a few typos, there were some sections of the DS 160 which were generated and we filled them out. Fiancee logs out and later logs back in to sign and submit the DS 160. One of these sections is now gone. It's not in the review and using the navigation functions won't make this section appear again. The section has completely vanished. I'm curious tonight and go in and fill out the DS 160 fresh and new using all the updated information three times tonight. This time TWO sections of the DS 160 that were there are now gone on all three attempts. One of them was the section that disappeared on Sunday, and the other one is new. I wonder how many people filled out the DS 160 fresh and had a situation like mine, except that they didn't know there were more parts of the DS 160 because they only did it once.

Interesting. When i returned to the form some of my countries i have visited doubled up. I bet the system is glitching. I would hope you cant submit with missing info but that duplicating error made me nervous aswell.
