Aug 4th I prepared a 17 pg packet and faxed to my Senators office for a USCIS inquiry into the status of my 129f. I called to confirm receipt. They told me 3 to 5 days it would be assigned to casework. 12 days later they said it would be assigned to casework in a week or so.  They never did anything with it before I received NOA2 19 August. On 20 August I called and thanked them but to never mind- It resolved itself.  Today I received an email from the Senator:

I am pleased to learn that your issue with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has been resolved to your satisfaction.

Should you require assistance with any other issues pertaining to the federal government, I am at your service.  You may contact my staff at (407) 254-2573 or toll-free in Florida by calling (866) 630-7106.

Fax went to Orlando office, don't remember name.  They told me to talk to Doral office so I was in touch with them.  They said Orlando had to assign it to one of the Doral case workers.  Meanwhile I kept calling 2 to 3x week to Tier 2.

My opinion only..... and for good reasons, I believe that you have to be very close to approval

Are you calling Tier 2 at least every week?

Yes, 150 mark now Its so difficult getting to tier 2

Well on the bright side, we are closer to getting our noa2

Hi guys,

We got our  NVC # today around 10 am EST, i called myself and after less then 10 min on hold a nice lady answered ( I pressed 1 and then 7 as the other day I ve been told as others mentioned - pressing 5 if for electronic cases only) .

She asked my fiance name and date of birth and my name . For those of you who need this info : you can update beneficiary's or petitioner's address while on the phone when they give you the NVC number; this is how I updated this info today for us.

I am currently in the US and will fly to Romania probably in max 10 days for the interview- have no idea yet how busy is the embassy about scheduling it  and then back here :jest:

Looking forward for the adventure to continue and thank you everybody for being such a nice and helpful group!!;)

Has anyone tried to escalate their case (I'm on day 163)?  I've been in touch with someone from Nancy Pelosi's office (I'm one of her constituents), through their immigration office.  All the agent been able to do for me is give me the information that I otherwise could get from USCIS's processing times site, except instead of instantly looking it up, I can wait a day for him to email it to me .  While polite, he was wholly unsympathetic and mentioned that I could try applying for something like medical hardship, but it's doubtful I'd have a case.

I contacted every single senator (even local -- who directed me to Pelosi's office) about a month ago and have heard no reply from my federal representatives.  Yesterday, I tried again.  I called the office of Senator Dianne Feinstein and they told me to file the case work for immigration form.  I did so, along with a letter explaining the situation and the correspondence I've had with Nancy Pelosi's office.  It actually cost me $10 to fax the dang package, because they wouldn't let me email it!  (Who even has a fax machine anymore? ^_^)  Heard nothing back.

I'm really not sure what to do at this point.  Maybe I really should try for medical hardship?  Has anyone had any luck with that?

CSC are saying they're on February 1st still (down from February 15th that they said they were at last month).

This feels so bad, guys.

Have you tried applying for case assistance through the omsbudsman? I didn't use it, and I don't know anyone who did, but I remember seeing someone post about it somewhere. I don't know if they will allow you to do so, since they are claiming they are still working on feb. cases and they might try and say you are within normal processing time (I think they are slow to update this in a timely manner so that they can use "you're within normal processing times" as an excuse when we call), but it's worth a try! Goodluck!

You're welcome! If they try and say you are within normal processing times, show them the case tracker, and that the USCIS information is not accurate... maybe they will accept that.

You might want to try your representative instead.

There are people in these offices that can do something, it's just finding them can be a chore. It tooks me several tries just to get the voicemail of the guy KosmicBlues found in my state, but once I got him he got things done and clearly wasn't just parroting USCIS stuff back.
