VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!

We had so many "adventures" right before the interview, and now I'm extremely excited, relieved, and bursting into crying and laughing in turns:)

I'll write a detailed report later, and I hope to catch up with all your news tomorrow when I get home.

Hurrah!! Congratulations!!! I hope your visa arrives soon and all your preparations for the big move go without complications!!!

I'm so excited! Just got off the phone with the NVC and a case# was assigned 1.5hrs ago!!
Too bad my F is in Germany right now and I can't coordinate the things with him that I need to send to him for his interview! I just hope that the snail mail doesn't take too long once I am gonna be able to send. He will be back in Romania tomorrow, so I guess that isn't so bad lol   but it feels like it!
Oh! Question for anyone who might know... does the faster mail service from the post office really help? Or does it only make it faster to the city from where it flies from in the US? In my case it usually flies from San Francisco... then things usually slow way down from that point, but I have only mailed packages before, so, I am thinking that an envelope will go much quicker...
But, is the faster mail service only good for here since their mail is not the same as ours? Or should I use someone completely different if I want it to get there faster?

Scott has sent me the documents with DHL Express.
It took about 36 hours and was 49 bucks.

@Missabc: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  :jest::jest: I'm so happy for you to finally have the golden ticket after such a long wait!!

Since we kind of rushed through the process - and that was annoying already - I can not even try to imagine how much strength and patience that required from you!
I was following your posts for a long while and am really happy to see these news!
Now take a breath and get ready for the still annoying but way shorter waits! :)

It wasn't easy that's for sure, I was an emotional wreck but I hid it well (or at least I like think I did)

I'm so excited to get the ball rolling, I already have everything ready on my side, all i need is my fiance to ship over his paperwork :D

Exciting! Then you'll be home for Christmas - FOR SURE! :)
And maybe even for Halloween! :)

My flight is in 30 days.
I'd never have guessed being done with everything so quickly. First I was considering October as travel month, if I'm lucky.
Now I got my visa in hand since August 12th and am still stuck here, haha! That's one more annoying wait...but at least the last one for a while! :)

I was panicking last week because i thought i wouldn't make it in time for Christmas, we have never spent Christmas together so i was really excited for this to be our first one. My original flight was booked for October 3rd but i'm obviously going to miss that but i checked with the airline i'm using and fortunately they don't charge for changing the date of the flight which is GREAT!

I bet you are so excited! I cant wait to be in your shoes haha :D

Hello Canadians, at the interview did you need a long-form birth certificate? The one I have is just card-size and quite worn. I am not sure if I should request a new one which we do have to pay for. @gob332 @eastcoastgroove @calahjosh931 @PR&PR

My fiance brought her long form and a copy. It looks like you will need the long form, unfortunately :(http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618007-long-formshort-form-birth-certificate-for-packet-34/
