We got a letter from the NVC stating our package was sent to the embassy. The agency I used to process my documents sent me the list of required documents and said we can schedule the appointment. I was told 7 days then told 5 days. Wanted to check with other folks and hear their experience.

That's so interesting.. We never got a letter or anything 🤔🤔Its all so confusing haha

My fiance is awesome

Yesterday she got her cenomar

Were finishing up ds160

This morning she went and got her nbi

NVC has our case - # not shipped yet tho

we just need one more form

She worked in lebanon nad we are trying to figure out how to get her police certificate there - then we will have all requirements

Two QUESTIONS

Once the embassy has our case - how long till it ecpires is my question if anyone knows?

Also anyone ever get a lebanon police cretificate?

My fiancee is also in the Philippines. It goes by NOA2 exp date. For example our NOA2 notice date is 8/3 and it expires 12/2. Paul is also out there today getting his updated NBI and police clearance :) good luck you guys!

Hi friends,

We received our NVC case number on 08/18, the day of our anniversary. So excited! Hoping that everyone is on the right track as well.

Anyways, my question is

1) Will the NVC case number be sufficient to schedule a medical interview?

2) During the interview, it statea that we need to create a new letter of intent dated closer to the day of the interview. Do they require an original hand written signature? Or will I be able to just do the signature and scan/send to fiance?

Thank you guys for all your help! :)

I believe the original is required yes

And i am not sure which country youre from but in canada we are unable to schedule medicals without interviews so i think thats a country specific question

Aww shoot.. really? So I have to send a letter of intent via mail to the Philippines.. I was thinking to just print and sign it myself then scan the doc with my actualy signature on it and email to my fiance. Cuz I mean, its still technically my signature. Will they really be that nitpicky about it during the interview? :(

Wheni called and got my case number the lady said they dont send letters out for k1 visas

But you said you got a letter from NVC. So, how did you notified? Will the beneficiary receive a email or phone call/txt message.

I am not sure if this is different in different countries but on the packet 3 for my country it says originals maybe someone else can answer?! I know it is a pain to try to get documents over to your fiance through courier ans seems like a waste of money too ..!   If you find out it says original i wouldnt risk it...    digital signatures are placed on documents all the time so i bet thats why they havnt high boshed that yet.

Hello,

If we book the interview on a friday, is it ok to have your medical on the monday before? I have been hearing conflicting stories on when to space out

the medical and the interview. I do understand that the medical can take 2 days. It's just that my fiance lives in Tacloban and will need to stay possibly a week in Manila just for the interview and medical which sounds a bit extreme. Anyone have any experience with St Lukes and Embassy appointments. Also the medical is a first come first serve system. So hopefully she gets there bright and early lol. Thanks!! Almost there!

During my medical, I met someone there, she had the medical same day as me(MONDAY) She also finished her medical in just one day with the vaccination. Her interview is TUESDAY.. Yup, next day after her medical. Too risky but she did it anyway. :))

Yessss I am so happy for you! Congrats! Our case finally reached the Manila embassy yesterday. Did they call or email you when they received your case? Did you have to mail in a packet? Our attorney isn't telling us much and it's making me nervous... Paul missed a call yesterday and we were afraid it was the embassy..

Hey! If it is in the embassy, then he can pay for the visa fee and fly to manila and do his medical.. :)) He can actually set his interview already.. Then just go to the St Lukes 4 days before the interview. :))

Congrats, what kind of questions did they ask? Was it a lot?

I'll post the questions later when I get home. It was all easy! :))

I called the Manila embassy last night and they recommended 2 weeks prior just to be safe.. Paul lives way south in General Santos and will probably end up having to go there 2 times. Did your fiancee receive a call or email from the embassy once they received your case? Just curious

Good luck to you guys!

No.. He doesn't need to go there 2 times. He can just stay in Manila for a week. :)) fly on Sunday over here, do his medical Monday, vaccination Tuesday if no abnormalities in his chest xray. :)) then interview on Friday or Thursday! Trust me it works. I've seen that experience from my friends. They just did that last week. He can stay in Paragon hotel or Hotel soriente if he's looking for a little cheaper than other hotels near St lukes. :))

08/23/17. VISA APPROVED! Interview really went well! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What did you present as case ready in SLEC? Did you just screenshot the NVC website on desktop? or did you received a call/email/message that your case is ready? Btw, I already have my MNL case number and at the moment it's still with NVC.
