Thank you so much!!! It was such an amazing feeling to hear my fiance say we have been approved, I actually said 'I'm sorry? what did you just say' haha

yes, yes it is - an indescribable feeling.  Remember these last 181 days forever.  You both persevered, you both stood side by side, and you both overcome this obstacle of uncertainty.  I'm convinced that those that wait the longest understand the greatest - the level of commitment you have for each other.

Expediency for the rest of your journey :D

You are so right, my fiance's support has been amazing whilst we were waiting. He always said, 'The bottom line is no matter what we are going to be together no matter how long it takes'. I'm so ready to get moving on now and get this part of our journey done and dusted, I'm just so excited :D

Yeah, I know that its supposed to be like this. We are waiting till Frinday (two weeks from now2) to call nvc and figure out if they received our case. Just wanted to clarify if letter from nvc is a common thing cause our attorney position is not exceptable at all. Another waiting line for the thing that might never happen makes me stressful.

We have never got a letter or email from NVC.

Our case is Ready at the embassy and we scheduled our interview :D Unfortunately the earliest interview date they had is October 5th! Oh well, glad we at least have a time frame in mind now and hopefully it'll all be over in October.  Does anyone else have an interview that late? lol

Congrats! Oct 5th sounds perfect! time will fly!

We received the E-mail from the Embassy today with the instructions but there are still no days available, I'm refreshing that page like every 5 minutes!!!

I haven't seen anything from the NVC yet. Anna and I both got an e-mail from the embassy with some documents attached, next instructions (a link to the embassy website) and our NVC case number within hours of case being marked "ready."

Was just wondering... did you ever try to get the case number?

Ugh same, not that I'm not grateful to be this far along I just hoped I could be able to book a Sept 6 interview. Lol I keep checking the tracker every couple of hours hoping to see a change. We have the same nvc timeline so if i see something I'll be sure to let you know!

How long did it take other Canadians to get theirs to 'READY'??

What justification evidence can i put for congressional inquiry? Visajourney shows april while uscis shows february processing. i know uscis doesnt except vj as evidence but perhaps i can put the tracker as evidence.

The guy at my senator's office made the justification up by looking at the USCIS page and noting it was last updated (in my case) in May, so their information was outdated and that, along with the case having been processing for five months was more than enough for him. It's been updated to June 30, which is nearly two months ago -- and processing February + two month = processing April. It's an easy case to make.

I'm so excited! Just got off the phone with the NVC and a case# was assigned 1.5hrs ago!!
Too bad my F is in Germany right now and I can't coordinate the things with him that I need to send to him for his interview! I just hope that the snail mail doesn't take too long once I am gonna be able to send. He will be back in Romania tomorrow, so I guess that isn't so bad lol   but it feels like it!
Oh! Question for anyone who might know... does the faster mail service from the post office really help? Or does it only make it faster to the city from where it flies from in the US? In my case it usually flies from San Francisco... then things usually slow way down from that point, but I have only mailed packages before, so, I am thinking that an envelope will go much quicker...
But, is the faster mail service only good for here since their mail is not the same as ours? Or should I use someone completely different if I want it to get there faster?

Congrats, another step in the journey completed.

I'm hoping they have at least received ours when we call tomorrow, but not much hope at the moment.

Anyway, Gary sent me the documents this weekend (Saturday) and he used Global Express (I think that's the name) that is supposed to be the fastest option. I'm supposed to get everything here on Thursday. The cost was quite high, if you ask me, for just a not so thick stack of paperwork (around $88 :o).

I'm not sure if Romania is the same, but probably similar... Next option was Priority Express and that's like 6-10 workdays, and $20 less, I think. Not sure about FedEx or UPS.

@gob332    2 weeks from receive to ready or from case # to ready ?

I have heard others get it within 4 or 5 days.. I think I'm on day 5.

I was also wanting a SEPT 6 interview date!!! but I highly doubt that will happen now. Did you do your medical already? I am waiting so I can do it all in one shot (spend a week or 8 days in montreal if I have to.. ) I am worried that ill find an interview date and a medical day wont be available.. (I live in alberta so I have to fly no matter what for the medical its just easier this way)
